You read the title of this listing correctly; these are actual U.S.-made charging strips for storing and loading 7.62x39 into magazines for the AK-47/AKM platform, as well as directly into the SKS and Vz.58 weapons systems. These were produced as part of a program in the late stages of the Vietnam War to provide supply of quality, U.S.-made (Lapua-spec) ammunition for U.S. and allied forces in Southeast Asia who used captured enemy weapons (U.S. and Australian), and who issued the Soviet/Chinese types of arms, like Cambodia.
While Frankford Arsenal and Lake City both made this ammunition, my sources show that only Lake City produced and shipped ammunition loaded on stripper clips, and while there were obviously no contractor markings on the boxes, cartridges, or clips (plausible deniability), these would have had to come from Lake City. After the U.S. withdrawal from Vietnam and the ousting of Lon Nol from power in Cambodia by Pol Pot, much of this ammunition on stripper clips was left over, and later when declared surplus, the cartridges were demilled, but the charging strips/stripper clips were sold as surplus. I lucked into a large quantity of them about a decade back.
These will ship directly to you (please make sure they are legal to own in your jurisdiction) for free, and I am sure you will at once appreciate the American quality that sets these clips apart in performance for the AK, SKS, and Vz.58 platforms!
