Shout out to
@RickFinsta
@Snafu12

As my W8 thread hit many roadblocks.  It is still in play Thread here

But something else happened lol.

I drug home a 68 Barracuda Fastback, with a 434ci W9 deal that makes 976hp @ 8400.  14.5:1 deal running on Q16.
At 3100lbs, on a 10.5 tire with 4.88s this thing is an animal.  I love it.

Tube K-frame, coilovers, Dana, spool, Mega awesome Weldon fuel system.

And an uncut body.  No tubs, no nothing.  Just a cage that won't pass tech for the cars time.

Car has gone 5.76@121 on footbrake, transbrake hasn't been used yet.

Engine compartment, floors and trunk still with "EXCELLENT" factory paint.  CA car with factory rustproofing.

This thing is going to be a blast at the track, slow it down a bit and run 6.0 index.

The fuel bill is going to suck though.

I'm trying to finish that thing.  I really am.

Work, life, and shit like this keeps getting in the way.

Meanwhile, I have Another build thatbis about 30% done.   This car ain't helping.  I needed to buy a roller....bought a whole car.  So I still have too many engines lol.

Awesome barracuda. I regret selling every Mopar that I've owned over the years. I might have to look for another project car if I can ever finish my '79 power wagon.

I will do that and tag you when I get the fuel situation figured out.  I have no idea how much is in it.

But it can't be much given how much I drove it around the sellers area lol.

I had a 69 Cuda 340 fastback.

The engine came out of a 1970 AAR Cuda, 340 6 barrel and 727 trans, sold it in 1990.

Couldn't resist.

Nice score.  Love me a Big Mopar hood scoop.  Beside the Roadrunner my first car was a '71 Barracuda Gran Coupe.  A fiberglass Six pack lift off hood found it's way onto the car.

This is one of the body styles that I like the 'coupe' version better than the 'fastback' body.

Coil is mounted on the top of the tunnel inside the car, wire going to a male-male bulkhead connector. The forward portion is a 20"+ coil wire to the belt driven distributor.

There is so much work involved.  I hate when dummy minimize the effort and expense that others go through.  Just like that comment.

However, sometimes you just gotta drive around with a Dale Cubic-built 1350 Dominator that has the idle air-bleeds completely removed because the power valve is also missing from the metering blocks lol.

Attachment Attached File

*for the unknowing folks.....basically, this carb has a few fuel passages that are normally metered.  But this one is has wide open passages....the missing air bleed is just a band-aid to mellow out the the amount of fuel that is getting pulled into the engine.

Imagine an M60E6 that no one was paying attention to.  That's what this is.

Bit over my head, but I'm going to just do an orifice pull and guess that the stock carbs on the RBs of that era of body ran less than 9?

Does it have sight glasses so you can adjust the float level?

*looks up thread and answers his own question, because he's a raging idiot, but yall know that already.
