ramy98,
There's no way we'll ever know if that's really Delta in those pics, but that's the way it should be.  What with Discovery having a special about SEALs every other day, I think they should really  be forced to give up any pretense of being a "secretive" organization.

Great pics.
Thanks.

Here are a couple pictures  of my Dad, Donald Lee, way before I was ever thought of.  I remember asking him about  his experiences but he never really told me much. I think probably because he saw such horrific things that he couldn't bring himself to recall much of it. He was a very gentle man, I don't think he ever raised his hand in anger at me that I can recall. Not that I didn't deserve it.   He was in the army in the China, Burma, India theatre in WWII.

He died in 1997

I still miss him.

The bulk of the nasty stuff was Moly B rotorhead grease.

I really wasn't into the hazing thing.  If I had a problem with someone, we worked it out without one of us being tied up.  When someone was pinned after I was a Crew Chief, I shook their hand.

That was a GW1 pic. I think the story goes that his Bradley got nailed almost point blank by a T-72?

Nope.  His Bradley got whacked by friendly fire--an Apache mistook them for Iraqi forces, IIRC.

It was friendly fire, but it wasn't an Apache, it was from a M1A1. It happened on 27 Feb. during a attack by TF 1-64 armor, TF-3-69 armor and TF 3-15 Inf. against Jalibah airfield. Charlie Co. 3-15 Inf  Bradley's were misidentified as BMP's by elements of 3-69 armor which proceeded to enagage them. The guys in the picture are Sgt. Kenneth Kozakiewicz (arm in sling), Spec. Mike Tsangarakis(eyes bandaged) and in the body bag is Spec. Andy Alaniz, the driver of the Bradley. A total of 3 Bradleys and 2 KIA 18 WIA during that long awful morning. How do I know all this you might ask? cause I was there, I was in 3rd platoon C Co. 3/15, and these guys were my friends. Its hard to believe its been almost 15 years since that happened.

Yep, I go all cold inside and get chills everytime I see it. Thier Bradley was in front of mine and I saw the red streak from the round as it penatrated the side of the Bradley. Big puff of white smoke and it was slowly rolling to a stop as we went by. I can close my eyes and see it just like it happened yesterday.

Someone has GOT to give me a high-res version of the bearded SF in 'stan.  That is an awesome photo but I can't scale it up to 1280 or it looks horrible.  I usually have high-res gun featuring military photos on my desktop and it drives my liberal co-workers insane.
