If you don't miss the 70's you weren't there. The 70's were the best times in this country. The music and muscle cars were at their peak. The women were natural and beautiful. I was never with a woman that had a bush like some of these in the porn pictures though.Yuck! Not all women are hairy like a man. We carried guns and knives to school. Our school had a shooting team and they carried their rifles on the bus. No one ever got shot at school. If there was a fight. The guys would give their knives to their buddies to hold until the fight was over. There was much more freedom in those days. Truth. I had a rifle and a shotgun in the gun rack from the day I could drive up to when I went to college. Fights were with fists. We did not have helmets or knee pads for every little outdoor activity. Everybody did not have tattoos or piercings to have an identity. The music and cars were awesome especially from the earlier part of the decade. We wore belts and hats with the bill facing forward. The colors of appliances and bathrooms leave little to be desired now but we never knew the difference then. Fireworks were real and love was really free. Preach it bro!! Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

The height of style. http://picklemedia1.scrippsnetworks.com/pickle_media1/media/HGTV/090328/Photo_Video_558919430_medium.JPG?0 My house still has that bullshit yellow paneling. I hate when I walk through Home Depot and get accosted by the cabinet sales rep. No, I don't want reface my cabinets, I want to strip my kitchen down to the studs. Get som sherwin williams adhesion primer. You can make that stuff pretty nice if you use the right materials. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Apparently, my choices are limited to pathetic attention whoring with a thirty-five year old picture or being an old, stick-in-the-mud bitch. I have no idea why The Picture causes so much of a stir. It's just an over made-up teenager in front of a Pontiac Sunbird that didn't have enough power to pull a sick whore off the toilet. Anyway, here it is. Merry Christmas. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z120/planejanel/Sporty_Jane.jpg I knew you were a knockout and I'll bet you still are! Danny |

Born in the late 50's was not yet in my teens in the 60's Yes it was a fashon disaster decade. Quickly discarded most of likes in the 70's including music for the 80's. The 70's sucked. Really? Way too many great bands and music came from the 70's for the 70's to suck. Don't know about the rest of you but I wore Levis, Vans tennis shoes or Wallabee's shoes, concert or band t-shirts or plain t-shirts and either a hooded sweatshirt or a Levi jacket. Actually, I've recently been thinking about picking up another pair of Wallabees. I loved wearing the ones that I had. |

The only good thing about the 70's was some of the music. You can tell who the old farts are on this site because they always come out to defend it. Because there WAS a lot of good music. You had artists who actually cared about putting out an entire albums worth of good music, and artists who could sing. We've regressed back to the 50s where they'd throw out an album with one hit surrounded by fluff by an artist who was more some agents imagination and hype than any skill There's still a lot of great music coming out today, whole albums worth at a time even. It just doesn't get played on the radio. |

When I think back I can't believe how good we had it.
I also can't believe how bad it got. |

Freaking awesome looking cars in the 70's. Girls all had Farrah Fawcett hair, cool music, and some good movies. Mini skirts were still going strong too. I loved the 70's!

You didn't buy it in VA did you by any chance? My Dad had one exactly like it. He traded it in on an ugly Buick that would fit all the kids. |

It wasn't so ugly when one could buy a house with no down on 7 bucks per hour........ I remember buying my first house in 1978. I was 18 and just married at the time. I had to have 10% down and have my parents co-sign for me. All for the princely sum of 24k to be financed. Oh yes, got a smoking DEAL on interest at that time. it was ONLY 10%. Got a good rate because my cousin (my realtor) knew the banker. Not long after I bought some friends were paying around 15% for the interest rate. |

GTFO. The first 2 years of the 70's produced some beautiful muscle cars. After that, well, nevermind. There were more 1975 Gran Torino http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m35jt5YWkL1qanlclo1_1280.jpg 1977-78 Trans Am http://www.allmusclecars.com/pontiac/Amb77dfh.jpg The power definately wasn't there, but there were still some good lookers. Probably all of 300 hp between the two of them. |

I have an uncle who, IIRC, had a Chevy Nova with a 350 that (according to him at the time) had 300 hp. Would that have been unpossible ... ? |
