I will OK it as soon as they serial number:
ALL Knives Baseball bat Sharp Sticks Rocks. |
Lets just number and register everyone and everything. That way our brave officials only need to answer phones and type to solve problems.

Bullet serialization is coming eventually. First it was California, then Illinois, and now Hawaii. Why fight the right to own a rifle or a pistol will just make it were they can’t get ammo. With out ammo what do you have? An expensive club. They ammo manufactures go out of business, reloading is illegal, and all we need is an incident. Little Johnny or Jane would be alive today if we had serial numbers on bullets it would deter crime! It won’t criminals will still have ammo, you can’t stop drugs from being made or imported know your going to stop bullets. This is just more feeling good BS!
Face the facts to most of the media gun owners are just criminals that haven’t been caught yet. Welcome to the United Socialist States of America. |
This kind of crap is just getting started.Wait till 2009-2010 with the dems in power.
The gun-grabbers only need one fucked up teenager on a rampage to get all of our guns banned for life. |

Unless we win big in Heller. |

Any group that puts "and more" at the end of this sentence doesn't scare me. |
Ammunition is the soft underbelly of Gun ownership. We capitulated on the Brady Background checks when we knew that wouldn't be the end. Looks like they want to treat ammo like cancer sticks i.e. tax it to help pay for all the scoial ills it causes. Hell, ammo should be free for the asking for all the social ills it cures (IMHO). |
If this ever happens, best police your brass at the range.....
If you though ammo was expensive now, wait until that shit somehow passes. Ammo prices would go up drastically.
AND dig your bullets out of the berm. |

A little Googling around found this:
Makes sense. A look at Ammunition Coding System (ACS) This pic is on their home page: http://www.ammocoding.com/images/bullet1_home.jpg (left cold, of course) Look similar to this? http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Technology/Coded%20Bullet2.jpg (also cold - if someone wants to photobucket them & put em side by side for comparison...) from the Ammo Accountability outfit's "technology page" http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Technology.htm But let's go on with the ACS story:
They are pretty circumspect about just who is behind the curtain... http://www.ammocoding.com/contact.html And who's this lobbyist that ACS has retained? http://www.gth-gov.com/clients.html
http://www.gth-gov.com/about.html Here's the guy that runs the "multi-state group" (of which ACS is listed as a client)
Lotsa lobbyists. http://www.gth-gov.com/staff.html Offices in Tacoma, Seattle and of course DC http://www.gth-gov.com/contact.html Not surprisingly, they appear to be a subset of a big personal injury law firm http://www.gth-law.com/ The lobby group's head: http://www.gth-law.com/lawyer-attorney-1225477.html more to follow... |
Back to ACS - Googling their phone number and a couple of other things turned up what may be a predecessor company:
http://www.policeone.com/police-products/firearms/accessories/ammunition/press-releases/90639/
That address look familiar? It should, it's the same as ACS' current street addy:
http://www.ammocoding.com/contact.html So who the Sam Hill is "Ravensforge"? These guys? http://www.ravensforge.com/about.htm Apparantly so. Check this out:
info.sen.ca.gov/pub/05-06/bill/sen/sb_0351-0400/sb_357_cfa_20050425_143651_sen_comm.html And Googling the two together confirms. www.nssf.org/share/PDF/SAAMI_Ltr_VT.pdf
So who is Ravensforge? Stay tuned... |
Understand how laws work. That which is non-compliant will be banned if not specifically exempted. |
Heh, engrave a number on the base of the bullet. Do these fuckers think bullets stay perfectly intact so they can read the numbers? Like in cartoons?
Sadly, they probably do. It is also very clear that these people are insane. It's coming...... |
Gotta love Google & open source information...
The Ravensforge story
What else do we know about Steven Mace & Russ Ford? Are they the driving force behind this endeavour? Maybe some of the WA crew can fill in some blanks... |
when it comes down to it, reloading is easy ... replace barrel replace extractor replace firing pin easy as 1.2.3 ... :} |
Want me to head over to Aurora and see what's up? It's just a POBox anyway, but Aurora is pretty much a craphole - lots of hookers and "by the hour" hotels.
More.
Here is their patent for serializing bullets
How on earth they got a patent on a serial number escapes me.
Darn it! I guess I'll have to murder hookers with a revolver now.
I own your page fours |
Looks like it is little more than a suite in an office park So these yoyo's made some bucks ion the Seattle Real Estate Market, fired up this "skateboard speedbump" company on the side, sold it off (or something), managed to get a patent on the idea of applying a serial number to something (wow, that's novel!) and retained a Seattle lawyer-cum-lobbyist to try to weasel their proprietary idea into law, does that pretty much cover it? Scary part is all they need are a couple of dumb politicians to buy into it... Another story on the skate board deal was a million dollar a year business, so they have some $$$ to play with. Looks like they ran it out of their homes Says they got hatemail from skateboarders (for their earlier invention) |
I'd advise folks to read through the patent (posted on page 3)
Feel free to post any of the info on other boards. Would be interesting to see what else can be unearthed about these 'safety crusaders' (with $ signs in their eyes) |
This lawyer/lobbyist is a strong Democratic supporter (no surprise there) and buddy of Cantwell
Also runs a tax-exempt LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATORS OF WASHINGTON and has a history of anti legislation
Here is the lobbying record of his old firm which includes:
Other lobbyists in that firm |
What they really want is to track ammo sales. Get ready to fill out a form with each box you purchase. There really is no end to the insanity, and there's obviously no end to what we will put up with. Face it, 99% of people are sheep - even gun owners.
are you fkn kidding me
Take a hike with that feel good bullsh*t |
My take is what they really want is money (the inventors & their lobbyist). A fraction of a cent per round for their 'service' and a couple billion rounds a year adds up pretty quickly. Paying for it with an 'ammo tax' means .gov gets yet another funding source. The feel-good stuff is just a selling tool for opportunistic legislators to add to their list of 'accomplishments' come election day. As always, follow the money. |
The problem is, there is no way to insert their serial numbering into the normal ammo manufacturing process, and keep track of which numbers are in which boxes.
Who the fuck is this spammer and why is he allowed on this site?
Yup, that whole idea is dumber then a bag of smashed assholes*. * Ive been wanting to use that phrase... finally found a place! Woot! |
Bump for the WA crew (and other states where they are trying to make this fly:
http://ammunitionaccountability.com/ < Link left cold, look under 'legislation' |
thanks, but the guys in the affected states need to understand what these knuckleheads are trying to do and get on their legislators backs.
What they are looking for is a toehold. |
SO ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY TO THESE JOKERS!
Patient the way to stamp the bullets, and push laws to make the bullets need the stamp. |
clearly, we now need a bill making it illegal for a person to remove their spent casings from a crime scene.
i wonder if i could get any of my state reps to sponsor. just read the PA bill introduced Feb 5. proposed tax is 5 cents per round. NOT .005. also a partial tax deduction/refund of the tax back to the collectors. as compensation for the effort of collecting. when the concept is utterly absurd, a little organized, legal, bribery never hurts. a new level of self serving shtibag has been acheived. for merrells outstanding work. |
E-mail was just sent to Maria Cantwell w/ box checked to request a reply.
Merrell, thank you for all of this info. Trevor eta - Should I get in contact with everyone? (district legislators, US rep, and both Senators?) I should have copied my last e-mail damnit. etax2 - nevermind. I just sent one to all. |
They now have a map up listing all the states they are going after.
http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm
Will post a heads-up in each HTF with a link to this thread. Suspect they are using the regular anti- ninnies in each state to introduce the legislation (I know for a fact that is the case with at least one representative in PA) - open for ideas on who to contact: the moderates? (who might not be aware this is a $$$ scheme being pushed by two entrepreneurs and their lobbyist) Here's what they have listed so far (with links after each) 2008 Legislation Arizona: Arizona House Bill 2833 - http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/48leg/2r/bills/hb2833p.pdf California: California Senate Bill 997 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/postquery?bill_number=sb_997&sess=CUR&house=B&author=ridley-thomas Hawaii Hawaii House Bill 2392 - http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2008/Bills/HB2392_.htm Hawaii Senate Bill 2020 - http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2008/Bills/SB2020_.htm Hawaii Senate Bill 2076 - http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2008/Bills/SB2076_.htm Hawaii House Resolution 82-07 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/HI%20HR%2082-07.pdf Hawaii Concurrent Resolution 104-06 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/HI%20HCR%20104-07.pdf Illinois Illinois House Bill 4258 - http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/billstatus.asp?DocNum=4258&GAID=9&GA=95&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=34701&SessionID=51 Illinois House Bill 4259 - http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/billstatus.asp?DocNum=4259&GAID=9&GA=95&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=34703&SessionID=51 Illinois House Bill 4269 - http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/billstatus.asp?DocNum=4269&GAID=9&GA=95&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=34734&SessionID=51 Illinois House Bill 4349 - http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/billstatus.asp?DocNum=4349&GAID=9&GA=95&DocTypeID=HB&LegID=34853&SessionID=51 Illinois Senate Bill 1095 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/IL%20SB%201095.pdf Indiana Indiana House Bill 1260 - http://www.in.gov/apps/lsa/session/billwatch/billinfo?year=2008&session=1&request=getBill&docno=1260 Maryland Maryland House Bill 517 - http://mlis.state.md.us/2008RS/billfile/hb0517.htm Mississippi Mississippi Senate Bill 2286 - http://billstatus.ls.state.ms.us/2008/pdf/history/SB/SB2286.xml New York New York House Bill 6920 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20HB%206920.pdf New York House Bill 7300 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20HB%207300.pdf New York Senate Bill 1177 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20SB%201177.pdf New York Senate Bill 3731 (Carried Over from 2007) - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20SB%203731.pdf Pennsylvania Pennsylvania House Bill - http://www.legis.state.pa.us/CFDOCS/Legis/PN/Public/btCheck.cfm?txtType=PDF&sessYr=2007&sessInd=0&billBody=H&billTyp=B&billNbr=2228&pn=3188 Tennessee Tennessee House Bill 3245 - http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/ Tennessee Senate Bill 3395 - http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/bills/currentga/BILL/SB3395.pdf Washington Washington House Bill 3359 - http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2007-08/Pdf/Bills/House%20Bills/3359.pdf 2007 Legislation - No surprises here, look at the states they targeted: California Senate Bill 997 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/CA%20SB%20997.pdf Hawaii House Resolution 82-07 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/HI%20HR%2082-07.pdf Hawaii Concurrent Resolution 104-06 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/HI%20HCR%20104-07.pdf Illinois Senate Bill 1095 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/IL%20SB%201095.pdf Maryland House Bill 1393 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/Maryland%20Legislation%20HB%201393.pdf New York House Bill 6920 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20HB%206920.pdf New York House Bill 7300 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20HB%207300.pdf New York Senate Bill 1177 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20SB%201177.pdf New York Senate Bill 3731 - http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/2007/NY%20SB%203731.pdf Note that they are making their biggest pushes in Hawaii, Illinois & New York, not really surprising given the respective political climates. This is backdoor gun control legislation at its most insidious. Take a look at the bills and identify who is introducing & supporting them in YOUR state. Put up the results in this thread or your HTF. Let others know who is involved in this. Don't let them get started with this nonsense. I would guess that the lobbyist wrote the 'sample legislation' and then sent it out to likely supporters in EVERY state, who did little more than a cut & paste and introduced it as their own idea. http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/Ammo%20Accountability%20-%20Sample%20Legislation.pdf - download & save a copy of this (sample legislation from their site) and compare it to the bills introduced in YOUR state. Make a note to other legislators that you REALLY REALLY DISLIKE lobbyists from DC writing YOUR STATE'S LAWS. Oh yeah, check out the note at the end of that sample legislation suggesting who can help drafting this legislation. Hint: look halfway down this page |
Have posted links in HTF's, up to you guys now.
I read through some of the proposed legislation in the various states, and it is AMAZING that these elected officials will take canned legislation from a lobbyist and submit it as their own. Here's just one example: Bill from Tennessee Now compare it to the 'sample legislation' from the lobbying organization: http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation/Ammo%20Accountability%20-%20Sample%20Legislation.pdf <<< leave link cold, download it and compare it to the legislation being pushed in your state. For even more hilarity, when you find a close match, forward that scoop to your local newspaper (no left wing rags, thank you) and prod them to do an expose on elected officials as stooges and pawns of lobbyists, incapable of composing sentient legislation without a fill in the blank form. Be creative! Start a file on this stuff for your state, and anytime you see something interesting, snag a copy of it and squirrel it away for future reference. This stuff disappears sometimes. |
