I have an old 3D that I built a "WOW" light out of.  4 Lithium Ion rechargables and some parts from Home Depot, one of which is a 100 watt halogen bulb.  And a metal reflector.

Short runtime, but WOW!

High beams form my 06 f-150


Super duper Maglite.

I've got two 6D ML and added the TerraLux MiniStar 5 single LED modules to them for about $30 for the pair.

Not a whole lot brighter, but runtimes are much longer and the tint is slanted more towards the cool side, as opposed to the warmer side of things, when the Krypton bulbs are used.

Plus, they're more durable than the bulbs and will last longer.
