He did obey orders pretty damn well once he got out of the car. He also had the gun pointed skyward when coming out.
Probably saved his life.
Now whether or not that is a good or bad thing is debatable.

Last year my wife was involved in an accident in the hood, girl pulled out in front of her and wife didn’t have time to stop. Our SUV (2007 Acura MDX) was smoked, other car was drivable. Girl had no insurance of course and left the scene before the cops arrived, because the cops never arrived. Anyhoo, we carry uninsured motorists on our insurance because we’ve been around long enough to know these things, what we didn’t know is that we had “medical” and not “property” on our policy. It cost us about $15k out of pocket counting the loss of our vehicle and the replacement we had to buy, not happy about it but it could have been much worse.

Moral of the story is check your policy if you don’t carry full coverage. Oh, and stay out of the hood whenever possible.

Interesting how in this thread people are saying the cops should have killed the suspect even though he wasn’t pointing his gun but in a different thread the cops are wrong for shooting someone pointing a pistol at a repo guy (for the 2nd time in one evening).

I'm not a cop, and I think you are, so you'd know a lot more about it than me, but seems to me the difference between "not pointing" and "pointing" and a round coming at you would be measured in milliseconds. Mighty tough choice to make in a split second. Glad cop wasn't shot, at any rate.
As for the other thread, i suspect people leaning one way in this thread would be leaning same way in the other thread.

He will be in and out of jail way into adulthood and probably until he dies. I just pray he doesn’t kill an innocent in the process.

In my area he would be in and out of jail in a few hours for that.
