You'd think if you were only gonna carry 7 rounds it'd be in a teeny tiny gun, or at least a gun that is setup well for reloading

Awesome carry gun if you are a 1911 guy. Something to make fun of if you aren't able to make a 1911 run. What are the specs? https://wilsoncombat.com/handguns/discontinued-exclusive/discontinued-models/hackathorn-special.html I am not surprised it lacks the ability to easily mount a weapon light. Looks nice though. I agree.....if I were ordering it again, I would have a rail on it. |

You mock what you don’t possess the intelligence to understand. You will continue to languish while mired in mediocrity. Poke fun at the 1911 and those who are proficient with one all you want. As a great teacher once said, “Nobody cares”.

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

I had a Dawson rail installed on my EB and it’s a clean, elegant solution. Downside: I don’t think they make them anymore. |

Yeah a polymer pocket gun is easier to carry and arguably “good enough” but full size single actions are easier to shoot better and yield overall better performance. |

I haven't gotten my hands on a 2011, bit I will rectify that. |

I like the slide and frame...I would get some better sights, loose the compensator, install a beavertail, possibly an ambi safety, then I would be fine with it. But that compensator has gotta go.

The "perfected" 1911 was made almost 100 years ago, and is a mil-spec 1911A1 made by Colt, Remington Rand, Ithaca, US&S or Singer (and possibly includes the Argentinean Sistema 1927 guns).
Anything beyond that is just dicking around with an already perfected gun ... with the possible exception of installing improved sights. |

That pistol was meant to be kept stock.
Someone gave it AIDS. I love the 1911. But it should only come in two forms: basic, and tastefully dressed up. That one is neither. |
