Been out of work for a month. Got laid off by an Indian and replaced by another Indian. With that being said I have been on a number of interviews and the ENTIRE IT departments are entirely Indian now. No whites, no blacks, no Hispanics, no Chinese - just Indians. I find it incredible how this country has allowed the high tech industry to be taken over by these people. Its unimaginable. Yet they keep telling us there is a shortage of people.
Laughably the govmt says they dont know how many are here. How can that possibly be? I have seen estimates online that there are 4 MILLION of these visas at a minimum in the US at any given moment. These are all jobs that Americans are not going to get. Just wasting my time and energy. Couple this with the illegals pouring into the country. As it is the trades are now almost entirely illegal Hispanics. So whats left for us? |

Get rid of the FSA handouts and subsidies. Stop prosecuting taxpayers who defend themselves from criminals. Neither of these requires more government spending and would do more good for society than 87% of government programs that do cost money.

Apparently now most jobs must be filled by third worlders as Americans won’t do them thus we must replace every American worker with cheaper, less skilled third worlders .
 No, they just don’t want to pay competitive wages, or offer benefits, thus hire cheaper third worlders who they can bully, threaten with deportation if they won’t do as told. Basically a modern day slave when compared to the average citizen. |

The last two generations of immigrants, illegal or not, need to leave. this country needs to get back to a pre hart-celler immigration policy and fast. It's no secret they're replacing the majority demographic and its accelerating at a blinding pace, its happening past the point of assimilation. This country is already unrecognizable from even 10 years ago, give it another 10 years at this pace and it will be a third world country.

It’s not just tech, the biomedical and healthcare industries are the new sectors being demolished. Soon the only thing Americans will have access are lower wage positions and the trades. What we’re doing to our kids is criminal. Go to school to get a STEM degree, pilling up debt only to work for a very modest salary because of programs like H1B’s. Keep in mind, it’s not just lower wages it’s also the work ethic of Indian’s and similar. Work damn near all the time, don’t take a lot of PTO and don’t complain. Companies fucking love this and abuse the ever living shit out of it. |

Whole training programs on how to write ads that they know no person in the US will answer or be able to fulfil so we gotta bring in someone from India or we would be out of business. Along with the lower wages management needs H1Bs because the H1Bs won't point out incredibly stupid management ideas. Won't push back at the sales weasels selling undeliverable projects. H1Bs will say "Yes boss" and go off to deliver shitty results incredibly late. Until the whole shop is Indian and then I'm not sure what gets done.
IT in a lot of companies has become a miserable affair. I'm glad I'm retired. The extended team that I was on didn't have H1Bs on the team. We had to work with other teams that used H1Bs. Sucked. A very small percentage were competent. If you work with Indian IT commodity programmers that are in India it is clear that the ones that make it here are the cream of the crop. A pestilence-ridden crop of fail. |

I know your statement is about legal immigrants, but when I worked in la migra, the illegal Indians were the most compliant bunch I've ever seen.  I could've told them to prepare to attack Arrakis and they would've been cool with it. Blood sacrifice and all. |
