Anyone have experience with this? Yesterday my card was hit with two charges, $1.38 and $169.00. I reported the fraudulent charges this morning. Card is canceled. Just now an Amazon driver dropped this "gift" off. Seems fishy but pointless. Yes, it didn't click with me at first and I stupidly signed for it. Looks like it is this: https://www.amazon.com/Zinyeme-Professional-Nebulizing-Technology-Waterless/dp/B09S27YBRB I'm thinking just return it but it doesn't show in my order history. What would be the point of someone doing this? I get that my Amazon account was probably hacked but why require a signature for delivery?

Either they are pushing you for reviews, which is 100% normal, or this guy loves you. They pick a user, send them items, and hope you review them.

Where were the charges at OP?

$1.38 and $169.00. The small charge was called Amazon Prime. Both have been canceled though.

Really just wondering if they can reinstate the charge because I signed for it.

Stealing someone's credit card info and using it to deliver products to their house doesn't sound like a good way to get reviews.

OP should keep his head on a swivel. He just denied some thief the credit card and he knows where OP lives.

It is $169 exactly. Linked in the OP.

Does Amazon not charge sales tax in your state?  Comes out to $177 and change for me when I go to checkout.

Sometimes it’s people close by and they’ll come over and pick up the item before you see it and grab it off the porch.  But having to sign for it makes no sense.   I’m not sure in a decade plus of Amazon prime that we’ve ever signed for a package.  This is weird.

Probably fake account with a different name but your address, then they list something and sell it to the fake account with your credit  card.   They use the signature to fight the charge back?

Strange, Im just guessing

The scammer was going to take the item off your porch after delivery?

Place an empty box on your porch and see if they are watching your place.

I did that first thing. Thanks.

What makes no sense is that a signature was required for delivery. I've never had that with Amazon before so I'm guessing the scammer requested that?

What did you write you signature on, and where did it go afterward.  Sure that driver was legit? Maybe they were looking for a copy of your signature to falsify a paper document.

Nowadays Amazon lets people return items to Whole Foods (wholly owned Amazon subsidiary) or another store (don't remember what the name is, WF is about half a mile from me).

Leave a review noting that you were shipped the item as part of a scam.

Just to be sure, have you checked your order history for archived orders? When someone compromises an account, they may archive an order so it's not immediately visible. They normally set up a new address and send the item there, though.

Did you check all your addresses on Amazon?

Do you have 2FA on?

If not, sign out all devices. Sign on. Go to Account & lists. Go to Login & Security. Compromised account will be there but FIRST set up your 2FA.

Kohls and UPS store.  Gotta follow instructions, sometimes all they want is the item, sometimes boxed item, sometimes labeled boxed item.  Don't waste a trip.

I don't see a shipping label there. The LPN and X00 are internal inventory tracking labels Amazon uses to identify the product. Then there's some gift receipts, etc

But no shipping label with tracking? If there is one you could talk to the carrier to see if you can figure out where it was sent and to who and maybe by who if it wasn't Amazon

Thanks. I reported it. This one is a bit different because it's not in my archived orders and they used my credit card to pay for it. I wondered what possible reason someone would have to do this. Never thought of positive reviews. Seems like a lot of effort for that, but what do I know.

We had a charge on the card we use for Amazon. Like $200 something.  Says Amazon on the  chase account.

Nothing shows up in orders or history.
