I have been following some guides on how to setup XMrig on an RPi.

My problem: After cloning xmrig to my Rpi, config.json is not listed. The only .json file listed is package.json.

I downloaded xmrig to my desktop. It was a zip file so I unzipped it. Then I saw the config.json file.

I tried
unzip xmrig.zip
but terminal said it could not find that file.

Is it possible to install XMrig on an RPi without using git clone?

What system are you running it on?

you have to edit the json file, I prefer TextEdit but I'm on a Mac.

ETA: saw you were on a pi, use any text editor to open the json file and edit the parameters: mainly the pool and wallet address

You should have a text editor that can open the json file. It'll be in plain text and easy to edit

I found the config.json in a folder called src.

Everything is on hold until I can create a monero node.

How long does it take to make a coin on an rPi?

Probably never. Once I get everything working, I will be joining a pool.

A big thanks to my bank for flagging my purchases from pishop and newegg as fraud. Now my orders will arrive 3 days later.
