A lot of people needed to be corrected lately. I did the correcting. I'm sorry they are sorry. Whatever. Here's a pic of the recent CMP 1917s for sale.

All eddystone except stock. I think that's all that was touched by the San Antonio arsenal. It likely wasn't issued. 9-18 barrel and similar reciever date.

Nice.....I snagged a matching Remington from them a couple of years ago, then found a Remington bayonet to go with it

How long is it from buttplate to tip with the bayonet?

I'd have to measure it, but it's longer than my 1903 Springfield with bayonet.......you can definitely reach out and touch someone.......that and my Krag with bayonet are real crowd displeasers

Now I just need a trench gun

The CMP has a lot for sale. Send in the paperwork or make a drive to one of the stores.

Probably the most pleasant full-powered service rifle to shoot.

It's pretty hot to see all the individual inspector marks on rifles. You usually expect this on European rifles.

My M1917 is also from CMP, though from a previous lot many years back.

It's a Winchester receiver with a Remington barrel, making it a literal Remchester.

Your photography and backgrounds kick ass. Looks original/ finish matching.

I picked up an all Eddystone with a Winchester stock at the South store.  Been kicking myself for not buying them back in the 90's when they had piles and piles of them in Anniston.

Is it still available ?

What is the least you will take for it ?

I need to get a stock for mine.  I tried for Remington, to match my 03 and A3, but picked up an Eddystone at my LGS because it needs a stock.

Thanks! It has definitely seen a rebuild - has the mysterious 3GM-K stamp these sometimes have and a parkerized receiver.

I really want an early Winchester that shows signs of use. The Marine Corps supposedly used almost exclusively Winchesters. They thought they were more accurate.

I have a Remington and an Eddystone already. Both sporter rescues.

Early Winchesters had QC/ interchangeability issues.
