I was drafting a message in our messenger system but don't see a paper clip or other icon on how to attach a picture. I know I've done it before, has something changed?

I have had best luck with using an offsite platform like Imgur to attach images in messages.

This is something which will be coming in an IM update, but it's not something we have had before. You can link to an image hosted online, but not attach images.

It's a few extra steps, but since the OP is a Gold level member, you can go to your media page and upload the image there, then copy the direct URL to the image and then paste that in the IM interface using the insert picture/picture frame button.
