Claim: Sending military aid to Ukraine degrades America's military readiness. Fact: Sending military aid to Ukraine has enabled the United States to modernize its own military to be better prepared to fight the next war. The US is supporting Ukraine in part so that the US won’t have to fight Russia itself. The overwhelming majority of military assistance is going to build up the US defense industrial base.[23] It is allowing the expansion of current production lines of essential military supplies that the US military will need in any future war. The equipment the US has been giving Ukraine is mostly old and sometimes inoperable.[24] The US is purchasing new systems to replace what it gives Ukraine, modernizing the American military in the process. American allies are also reinvigorating their defense industries and modernizing their militaries as consequences of support to Ukraine, which benefits the US.[25] View Quote The first fact and the second half of the last fact are complete bullshit. |

A swarm of drones off Amazon will turn that into flames and ashes. It will cost less than 1 JDAM.
The day of massive strategic assets is largely over. Victory belongs to whomever sends the drones firstest and mostest. |

In the late 80s, before the first bird flew, I *somehow* wrangled a VIP invite to the location - cough cough - where they were being made. After filling out some forms, and I'm sure a lengthy background check, we were told where and when to arrive along with a list of do's and don'ts. Cars were checked, trunks were opened, I.D.s were checked. We convened in a meeting room and told what we were about to see, with more explanations and admonitions about the nature of the things. We were then escorted into the construction area where there were several in various states of construction from the bare frame to near completion. It was very interesting, to say the least. Afterward, we walked out onto the tarmac where a complete, but unflown, craft sat behind a rope line guarded by numerous very serious and extra-large Marines. I was surprised that we were allowed so close - almost touching distance. A piece of the skin was on a pedestal, and we could actually walk up and touch that. Following that, we were given goody bags filled with swag - t-shirts, coffee cups, pins, etc.
I still have most of it; here's just one item. When the cup is filled with hot liquid the B-2 disappears! Attached File Attached File God Bless America! |

Looking at the Chinese Chengdu J-20 that came out more recently vs the F-22 and when it came out and comparing their capabilities to each other does China have the lead on us? |
