I know I'll get shit for this but I hate bar soap.

I've been burning through a giant stash of Gillette body wash for the last few years, and I'm finally running out. Obviously I don't want to support Gillette's misandry so I'm looking for a replacement.

Are there any body washes which don't smell like cheap cologne (ie, axe, old spice, etc) and won't dry out my skin?

Bonus if it's not loaded with parabens.

Neutrogena's Men's Body Washes (they have several) don't stink and are very targeted at skin health.
Cremo had a range that while scented are about 20x more pleasant and more adult than AXE or Old Spice.  The scents are pretty organic - things like sliver birch, cedar, bourbon vanilla, mint.
Everyman Jack is another brand with more adult scents that seems decent - things like Sandalwood, Cedar, etc.

If you are stuck with say the selection at Walmart - they do carry Neutrogena and Everyman Jack at most places - Cremo I've had to get off Amazon - but I do think Target carries it.  In a pinch Dove Men's body wash is pretty decent/neutral - the scent fades fast.

Old Spice or Target store brand are very similar and cheap in a multipak.  Bar soap sucks, but used to use a lot of Zest.

Thanks everyone. I ordered some Neutrogena and Cremo. We'll see how that goes.

Duke Cannon Thick, Buffalo Trace.

I smell like whiskey, so no one notices when I've been drinking.

Plus it's nice to my skin, which is a bonus.

Hmm, I thought all the Duke Cannon stuff was bar soap. I drive past Duluth every day so I might have to stop in and grab some.

I like the Neutrogena stuff. Years ago I obtained a bottle of Adidas body wash that I really liked. I recently found some at TJ Maxx. It seems a little thinner than I remember, but am liking it. It has a nice fragrance that isn't over the top.

Everyman jack.

It washes off easily and doesn't dry out my skin as bad as method men or old spice.

Fwiw,  I stopped using the same stuff as my kids (axe, old spice, addidas, etc)   basically because I didn't want my wife associating my smell with my kids!

It's not cheap but, it doesn't dry your skin out. Has a mild neutral scent.  I swim and the pool chlorine is very drying; this helps.

A bar of soap.

Amazing to me how Big Soap was able to dissolve a bar of soap in water, put the sludge in a big plastic bottle, and then sell it for 5x the price.

I have a few rentals and AirBnB properties. Renters always leave some body wash behind. I cannot remember the last time I bought a bottle myself. Variety is the spice of life!

I've been using the Neutrogena and Cremo for a while now. The Neutrogena (rainbath) is really easy on the skin but the scent is meh. Not bad maybe a bit feminine. The Cremo isn't quite as nice to my skin but I use it almost every day, and it smells great.

I still haven't tried the Duke Cannon.

It doesn't leave you smelling like a chick and make you feel like you just lathered slime all over your body.

Here you go OP. On sale, lightly scented, and that scent is awesome. I bought some for the smell, but it doesn’t have much fragrance added. The soap itself reminds me or Dr. Bronners.

Having septic we steer clear of bar soap.  Cremo is my go to for cheap decent body wash for work days.  If not I have a bottle of American Crew which is good and one bottle will last for a few months.

For premium body wash I use 18.21 or Pre de Provence no 63.  Both are on the pricey side both excellent body washes.

Super.  According to both the paperwork with our system and the guy who cleans it out, both say to not use it so we don’t.

Same.  Smells good and lathers up well.

I tried Duke Cannon and while thick and good smelling, it doesn't lather for shit.  I wanted to like it, but I'm back to Native.

Septic systems don't like bar soap.  Switched this summer and I do a much better job of scrubbing now.

I'm leaning towards bullshit. Antibacterial soap is definitely not recommended, but why would solid soap be better or worse than liquid? It's all mixed with water when it hits the tank...

Castile soap is great ~whatever brand or scent that floats your boat.

A little goes a long way so sometimes it's easier to dilute some in advance for a particular use.

So you want a bodywash that won't dry out your skin, and isn't full of bad ingredients or harsh chemicals...

Easy, get yourself some Dissident Soaps

I have found their body-washes to be gentler on the skin and more moisturizing than any of the options offered from Dr. Natural, Dr. Woods, Dr. Teals, or Dr. Bronner's

FYI: Dissident Soaps is an independent small family owned business with exceptional customer service, everything is 100% small batch USA made...
not just the soap, but also the bottles, caps, packaging materials, labels, foil seals, etc. are all sourced from US businesses.  You might be able to find cheaper body-washes in the stores or online, but you will certainly not find any that are better quality.
