I saw Dead Pool first. It’s funny watching the first one talk about how powerful the 44 magnum is and then in the movie how he talks about carrying 44 specials.

David Soul was a shitty actor. I hated him because of this movie.
The slip-on Python suppressor is kind of cool. Cut out for the front sight. |

Dirty Harry made the M29
I can remember in the early 1980s at the community college. My class got to be characters in their various Police training scenarios First time I ever handled a 4 inch model 29. Lt York had even had his MagnaPorted. In those days. The police in the 12k Community provided their own duty weapons and ammo. Over half carried Model 29s. Of course, there was an odd ball who carried a 1911 |

Sudden Impact.
Buddy ended up with a matched set of Auto Mags. 22 and 44; N-I-B and never fired. I'd love to know where that pair went. Most other things he owned, we shot out together. |

Great movie, first 3 we’re probably the best of the series.

Thanks for the reminder I need to get my mint 29-2 6.5” out of the safe and give it a good cleaning. Then get the 29-10 6.5”Hillary hole out and give it a good pounding at the range. Now try and get that image out of your head that I worked “pounding” and “Hillary hole” into the same sentence.

View Quote It's not farfetched at all for him to shoot specials on the indoor range and magnums for shooting bank robbers. If they made DH today, what holster would he carry the .500 in? Even though .44 is too much gun for a lot of people(maybe even most people), it's not all that impressive anymore. |

A young Suzanne Somers was topless in Magnum Force's pool scene.
But this scene from Dirty Harry always has me cracking up. The Mayor: Callahan... I don't want any more trouble like you had last year in the Fillmore district. You understand? That's my policy. Harry Callahan: Yeah, well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard - that's my policy. The Mayor: Intent? How'd you establish that? Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through a dark alley with a butcher knife and a hard on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross. [leaves] The Mayor: I think he's got a point. |

Great memory of those movies. My dad worked nights most of my life. I was about 16 an we just got Directv so like 96 or so. I Walk in one Saturday morning, and dad is up. Usually only saw him a lot on the weekend. Anyway, as soon as I walk in he tells me im not going out that night, im grounded. Come straight home after work. Im pissed, I made straight As with a job. I was pissed all day.
I come home from work and the grill is lit, its like 4:30 wtf. I come in, and dad is prepping steaks and sides, that was a birthday meal. Now its REALLY WTF. AMC had a Dirty Harry marathon that night, my dad , mom, little brother and me, ate steak and watched Dirty Harry movies till 2 in the morning. It was great, I own the box set now. I bought a DVD player when they first came out, we had family movie night every Sunday. Each person picked a movie every week. Dad's been gone for a few years, once a year ill grill a steak and break out the box set. Sorry for the tl:dr |

I've got a Clint Eastwood Box set of DVDs as well. It must have a dozen+ movies. I need to break it out again.

The outro music in Magnum Force leaves me feeling melancholy. Should have used CCR, Green River or something.

One thing my wife and I noticed while watching magnum force when harry took his partner to the airport to get a hamburger. The hamburger was massive. Twice the size of Harry’s hand. He probably paid 89 cents for it. Then he saved an airplane and dispatched two hijackers.
