The Mystery of the Curse of Oak Island Disappearing Thread!
Season 1. |
The show has been on so long they can dig up their first season workings and claim they are Pirate ruins.
Expert: "It was made sometime between last week and 500 years ago."
Oak Islander: "So it's 500 years old?!? That means Templars, Baby!" |
"My fear is with all the holes they have drilled that the whole island will become so overly porous that it will sink or all the heavy equipment will cause it to capsize." - Hank Johnson, maybe

The rules are simple: they lie to us, we know they're lying, they know we know they're lying, but they keep lying to us, and we keep pretending to believe them.
It's a sinkhole.
Some kids made up a story a couple of hundred years ago that they were digging for treasure when they were about to get their asses beat for being late for supper. |
I think this season is revealing a lot of knowledge.
I can't believe that show is still on

Obviously there are enough people who don’t to the point there are multiple seasons, but it’s not my cup of tea. I’d rather see an active dig where the people in charge admit that they won’t find anything for long periods of time and in reality there’s likely a permanent dead end with no conclusion to the mystery, but I know that doesn’t sell. |

My wife read that Miriam married the son of one of the brothers. I don’t know the guys name
but he’s on the show every week. |

Yes. And one more must die before the treasure is found.
If they ever found anything of true value, it would be all over national and international news. Those two brothers found out how to milk that TV channel for money, and I doubt they will ever find the "treasure" they have been baiting the TV channel into hunting for.

Another episode soon!

I record each episode then watch a day or so later.
With all the fast forwarding through the introductions of each f***ing person, the flashbacks of last week's show and basically filler, I am down to watching about 8 minutes of the show. |

I can't think of anything to say. Nada, zip, nothing.

Anyone still watching? Looks like they hit a flood tunnel in the garden shaft.

Extorris, because he's a heartless cunt. The purity of his apathy is laboratory grade, and I sleep well knowing that he's out there somewhere,
not giving a shit about anyone or anything. |
That treasure was dug up and moved a long time ago, they're just chasing ghosts.

View Quote I think more importantly is that they have found buried structures all over the island ... both inland and along the coast. There are several old wharfs/docks that were built in order to off load a crap load of something. The docks as well as the stone roads indicate that a lot happened on that island at at least one point in history. It is the historical aspect that intrigues me and would not be surprised if history books will be rewritten because of what they have found and will found buried on the island. |

If everyone else hit a flood tunnel, I wondered why they felt they were going to be special and avoid any sort of flood tunnel especially if they were remotely close to any so called treasure room. |

Even if they found a note saying exact who was there, it wouldn't help them dig any faster. |

The only way to be sure of any treasure of lack thereof is to dig up the whole area of the Money Pit all the way down to bedrock. That's what they will eventually end up doing.
