Full time gig is private company, for profit. Prt time gig is county EMS. A millage funds them. |

I have been on the 'taxpayer's teet' since 1982. Active duty military 22 years, state government 7 years, and federal government 12 years. I have no guilt. The taxpayer can rest assured they got their money's worth from my labors. I will live the rest of my life with physical pain and emotional scars from the things I have done and seen in their service.

After 4 years in the mil and 33 years self-employed, I am now employed by the state for the past 7 1/2 years.
I don't miss paying the payroll and overhead. I don't miss only squeaking out a one week vacation every five years or so. It feels good to be sucking on the government teat again.

As a kid I was always told that the rich people have the money do business with them....well as I got older I realized there are way more other people than rich people. So...I found a business that I can sell to everyone |

Im going to say no, because it’s all electronic we don't actually get paychecks.
They do fund the pools of money where may the money my employer gives me comes from. They also like to say “I pay your salary”, even though I am not salaried. |

I did collect a taxpayer check for 15 years in the shipyard. These days I’m with a company that has about 23% gov’t sales and the rest commercial, we could survive on just commercial but you never keep your eggs in one basket, it hurt enough after 9/11 and covid.
