How many times do we have to see stories like this posted before we acknowledge that these people are all morons. They all know the score yet they do nothing to prevent their inevitable ass pain.

Why idiots keep using range bags as travel bags is beyond me.
His wife needs to get in touch with the State Dept. and tell them that her husband is a tranny and the Xiden admin will have him home by mothers day. |

Stupidity has consequences. Don't be stupid.
Also their country, their rules. |

Donate to your local 2A organizations before the national orgs. The local orgs are proactive and get things done in your state house where the nationals are reactive and try to fix things after the fact and from a distance.

Turks & Caicos can be particularly thorough and intransigent. I once had a small roll of duct tape confiscated from my carry-on. They told me it could be used to handcuff flight crew. I explained that I had only brought it to handcuff my wife but they took it anyway.
Actually, I travel with a small roll of duct tape in case I ever need to make an emergency repair to my luggage or whatever. I also know a guy who got the third degree questioning from T&C Customs because they found a copy of “Shotgun News” in his carry-on. Told him it was in the same category as importing pornography. They let him go after they searched EVERYTHING else he had but kept the the copy of SGN. ETA- like others said, never use a range bag as a carry-on or to travel to prohibited places. In addition, when I travel (particularly International) I check every pocket of every jacket, pants, shirt, etc. I often find a stray spent .22 case. Even that can get you tenderly loved in many places. Search everything yourself BEFORE you head to the airport. |

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy Glock and thy AR15, they comfort me.

You should under no circumstances use a range bag for travel. I have heard of this kind of thing so many times.
I use to know a guy who was adopting a child from China. On the way over he got through TSA and into S Korea to China with no issues. They were going on a visit to see the child. On the way home he got hit in South Korea because he had a internal zipper pocket that had a loaded 9mm magazine...no gun. He got through US, SK, and China with it on the way and on the way back gets hit in SK. They swarmed him and arrested him like he had a bomb. It did not look good for him for a bit until he finally got a detective there that took mercy on him and let him leave (many many hours later). He did however get a visit from US feds after he got home quizzing him about it. |

Damn, I missed a loaded handgun mag in a carry one once. It was surprisingly not a big deal. Nice cop walked to the door with me talking guns and I had to drop it I. My car or surrender it. It was a 15 min inconvenience at best.

They took my copy of Guns and Ammo, and our 2-dozen eggs, even though they were not prohibited from importation at the time. The customs guy wanted $50 to let us keep half the eggs. They wouldn't let me keep the magazine under any circumstances. |

I have traveled all over the world with no issues. My travel bags and my range bags are never even in the same room in the house, much less interchanged. When I went to Singapore, I was told in advance not to have any GUM in my bag. I can't imagine what they would do for ammo or a mag.

I had a coworker a few years ago that used the same backpack for deer camp and flying. He ended up with a several thousand dollar penalty from TSA over two loose .22 rounds. That's why I always kept a dedicated bag for air travel
