Holy fuck. I’ll need to buy more cans. Got my dead air nomad approved in one day (lucky me!) and due to work and turkey hunting I was finally able to get out to the range this morning. Holy shit I’ve been missing out! I shot it on my 6.5 Ruger American and it was dead nuts quite. Slapped it on my scar 17 and was shooting steel at 100 and it made it 10x more fun! I’m going to need to rockset the Keymo adapter since that came unscrewed a few times. Had to call it a day before I could swap it on my scar 16 figured I should rockset all the flash hiders anyway before next time. I really need a .22 can now. Attached File

Get an alignment rod for each caliber to verify the muzzle devices are correctly installed.

I’m so tempted to buy another can for center fire, but 4 months and not a peep on my rimfire can. I wonder if my electronic print scan was too blurry.

My AAC 762SDN6 on my 308 Ruger American is awesome.
I'm about to get an OSS/Huxwurx 7.62 for the Maxim MD-11 I have coming too. |

View Quote I had a paperwork cluster on a Q Trash Panda, finally got the Form 4 “certified” after months and months. Lo and behold. Approved in a couple days. When I went to pick it up, I impulse bought a Nomad. When I went to pick IT up (approved in 2 days), I saw a Q Thunderchicken in the case. Guess what I did yesterday? This quick turn around time is costing me a BUNCH of money. |

Got my first can this year….three more in the following two months after. They are definitely addictive!

I got an OSS9. It's a hoot on my G19.4. I can practically watch the slide move in slow motion in the full size configuration but the damn thing is still 100% reliable lol.

All these quick approvals and me submitting in late Feb like well well..... FML

You don’t need a rimfire can, you need several rimfire cans!
And some pistols cans. And some more rifle cans. And then some more… It’s a vicious cycle. |

I bought a 22 suppressor in 2011, and did a 9mm form 1 can in 2020. I wish I'd done a form 1 5.56, and 30 caliber before the ATF got a fucked up about form 1 cans.
The 22 is amazingly quiet. |

Quoted: Quoted: Well you just voided the factory warranty on that scar You should see what I do to cars ?? Exactly. It boggles my mind how worked up people get over FNs warranty on a $3000 gun yet nobody freaks out when somebody buys a $60,000 BMW or $120,000 911 and immediately puts a tune on it |
|
Don't rush to rockset. Shoot it a few sessions and it will gum up a bit and not back itself off.
Don't unwittingly set your truck on fire with a hot can. |

Welcome to the Show |

You had the Keymo shimmed/timed in/torqued and it was coming loose?
|
|
Now you need the 13in barrel on the scar. Way more handy to carry around and shoot standing with a can.

Almost all of my rifles are shot suppressed nowadays. I've got mounts or cans for almost all of them.

Finally got into the suppressor game with these quick approvals.
2 Obsidian 9's 2 Rugged Mustang's 1 El Camino Q coming. Would like to try a Dead Air Mojave, but I don't have a spare $1200ish laying around right now. |

Nomad is a great can. I have the Ti version one on a bolt gun it’s crazy quiet.
And a gas gun you really realize how much noise the buffer and spring make. |

Shooting suppressed is overrated unless you have the right caliber, ammo & gun.

I got my first can last month. Never going back. Suppress all the things.

I love shooting suppressed. I've already put a couple thousand rounds through my silencers (first and only two) in the last 2 months.

Now try .22 Suppressed .22 is some of the most fun you can have. Period.

even though i have a sparrow the switchback is calling me ever so quietly
|

So what is so cool about it? I want one for my 8.5" 300BO since its a home defense rifle and I want as much help not destroying my hearing as possible if I have to shoot it indoors.
But for the range when I'm still wearing ear plugs...what is the benefit? Part of me wants to start buying some so I can be cool like Garand Thumb and all the YouTubers...but what does it make better? I just keep thinking that money would be better spent on NODS or Thermals and hookers and blow. |

I'm surprised nobody has marketed a gas you can spray into the can before shooting or something like that.
