I've stated it many times here that while I've never lost faith in God I've had a crisis of faith when it comes to the Church since I was in my mid teens.

I think I may have finally found a place I can come home to.

I did not want to post this as a "Hey look at me post." But more of a thank you post to those who did give me advice and support to not give up.

Thank you guys.

I was saved as a teen.  Wasn’t long until I was completely living in the world again.

I was out in the cold for 30 years.

God never gave up on me as I sunk deep into alcohol and drugs.

He sent me the only lifeboat I would latch on to.  A woman.

The two of them brought me back.

I thank God everyday for his patience and grace and for hers as well

Thank you again Lord.

The Lord Makes a way. He speaks to all of us all the time. It's us who can't hear or won't listen. Good news you are picking up and I hope His light in you brings along a few more.

This is a beautiful story, appreciate that you shared it.

As a teenager I played in a bar band and was politically pretty liberal (not sure which was worse).

By age 20 I got serious about my relationship with God, repented and also went to seminary.

I, too, thank God daily for his patience and grace. And also, for my longsuffering wife of 40 years next month. She's a gift from God.

When I do my morning prayers I often pray for the folks who don't know or believe in God to come to know him.

I feel at least on some level (if not many) their lives will be all the better for it and it could improve the world as we know it.
