Recommend a set for me.  I want to make bullet boards (muzzle loading boards that hold patched bullets).  Thanks to the wider cut of the Fostner bit, it should slip over the muzzle with the ball ready to be pushed down into the barrel with a bullet starter

For light duty home use my H-F set has been adequate. They have a small and large set.

Rockler makes a nice set. Worth taking a look at.

This is what I use.

I have the porter cable set.  Put plenty of miles on them and havent had any issues.

I read some of the Porter Cable reviews and it sounds like the newer ones are made in the Workers' Paradise.

Who makes Woodcraft forstner bits?

Thanks everyone. I found a four piece Irwin Austrian made forstner bits and suspect the steel will be better than any Workers' Paradise sh*t.

I wanted it to make a bullet board (muzzle loading accessory for quicker reloading of the muzzle loading rifle).

Honestly, don't use a Forstner bit. use a brad-point drill bit. This has knife edges to create sharp edges on your holes. You can buy them individually, as you'd probably need something larger than .50" depending on the ball you are using.
