I got a new camera for Christmas and have started to take pics.
I have always been interested in photography, but until now have never had a decent camera.

does any one know anything about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7K?

Next I need to get photo shop a trypod and a lot of practice.

You just click on the "add image icon" which looks like a portrait (this icon is located in the grey boxes under the text field when you reply).  It will prompt you to enter a webaddress of the photo you wish to use.  or you just use [ img ]  [ / img] tags (without the space).

It looked like you used HTML code when I quoted your post.  I just copied your urls and put them into the [ img ] tags.

I used GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) that I read about on this thread. It's a FREE program that's just like Photoshop. Here's a link:

GIMP

Once you download the program, make sure you go back to the website and download the Help files (basically a User's Manual).

Hope it helps!

Looks like as good of a place as any to post these. Camera used was a 20D with cheap glass.

APDSWAT and M4Builder, those are all VERY good! I like 'em!

APDSWAT, I like the shots in natural light, outdoors. The lighting, sharpness, etc. is all great. I wish I could use the camera like that!

M4Builder, I like your use of shadow & light. Dramatic. (I don't know about the one pic where the rifle is laying against the wine rack, though! hooting? Hahaha!) The black rifle, strong light and dark, all against the warm brown/orange of the rock is very good.

Great job to both of you!
