I've got a couple of older acogs, they still run great.
Although not in current favor, my favorite red dot is a RX01NSN. |

I’m talking out of my ass and only reporting secondhand anecdotal, but mostly to bring it up: I don’t see much about the SRO breaking from falls or whatnot like the window shattering etc, but it seems like I hear a lot of users reporting the optics simply turn off one day and need warranty work to get running again. Dunno though, I’ve only used the RMR. |

It has the chevron reticle and cyalume glow stick backup. It still works as well as the day I got it-yes, the tritium is dim but if it’s that dark I can’t see what I am shooting at so I don’t care. It sits on a rifle I pull out once a year and drag thru the woods so it’s perfect for that because I don’t think about it or the rifle outside of that. |

View Quote In my personal experiences, Holosun has been solidly underperforming against the competition in terms of reliability/durability I have had: - A SCS just die for no reason...just stopped working. - I received a replacement SCS from Holosun, and I was happy with that service. The new one came with screws that looked shorter than what I had on the original one... After about 200 rounds of 115gr FMJ, one of the screws sheared off and is now a little nub stuck in my G19 MOS slide. I've heard about several other people having Holosun screws shear off on both rifle and pistol optics. - A 508T where the window was very obviously wonky and asymmetrical. - A 509T-RD that would not tighten properly to the dovetail mount plate. I just don't trust Holosun anymore. |
