Neat. The more lever action options on the market the better.

Stock looks like shit. Give me real wood or something that doesn't look like a plastic toy.

The removable tube magazine is interesting. A 454 would be hard to resist.

All my levers have wood stocks. It seems like I'm always trying to protect those wooden stocks as the rifles ride on the side by side, truck, or going through the woods and rocks.

I would entertain a synthetic stock for my "working" guns.

If they're working guns then just let nature take its course.

Is it just me or does that receiver look unfinished with the flat, blank sides and screws sticking out?

I don't know much about lever gun models so is that the way an 1854 is supposed to look? Part of the retro styling?

eta: not as bad blued

That just opens up the secondary market for some wood workers to do just that. Wood probably cost more to produce so they went with the cheaper polymer to keep the price point down.

I had really hoped they'd offer it in .500 S&W.

Interesting. Like a Marlin mated with a Henry. I do not care for the removable tube. Something to lose. Makes unloading faster but meh.

Studies show most women agree with the need for good wood to work with.

It looks cheaply made and poorly thought out. Like someone grabbed a pic rail from a spare parts bin, threw it on top and then said “meh, close enough”.

Just what you’d expect from modern S&W, garbage.

Removable tube is an automatic no go for me, I don’t like them on .22 rifles, damn sure don’t on center fire.

Well, I see it’s got a loading gate, hmm. I might buy one, if not stupid expensive.

I'll buy one.  I've been looking for a gun just like that to go with a stainless 44 blackhawk.  I wish Henry would make a stainless gun.

+1. I’ve been buggin Henry to drop a threaded gated all weather. Now S&W does (and in .44 Mag to boot!). My poor wallet.

They look goofy but I can live with it. It will be pointless with a can too.
