I haven't reloaded in a couple years.

Oof. I had a pin in my wrist that stayed there longer than it needed to. The nurse had to yank the shit out of it to get out out.
When it came free, they gave me this face.  I couldn't imagine what that person is going through, though likely under anesthesia. |

After the drunk driver hit me, they had an external fixture on my ankle/lover leg. When they removed it the anesthesiologist must not have gotten the dose right because I was awake. They pulled out a giant set of bolt cutters out of a wrap and cut the pin that went through my foot from the outside to the inside. They then grabbed the pin and started pulling it out. That's when I informed the doctor that he needed to de-burr the cut end that they were about to pull through my foot bones. I don't remember anything after that because I'm pretty sure the anesthesiologist put me out completely so I would not longer instruct the doctor on his job.

She started the class by asking the question: Why is there a step ladder in the operating room? The first response was: For short doctors....wrong The real answer: To clean blood off the ceiling She explained that joint replacement is closer to carpentry than medicine, her logic behind the question was so we'd know why we'd wake up after surgery in so much pain. Apparently, there are some people who think they can open your leg up, cut off bones, hammer metal in place and it won't hurt???? For the record, she was correct....it hurt like a motherfucker.  I'm hoping when our robot overlords arrive they recognize me as a distant cousin.
