I never did commercial driving, but drove trucks for the Army, for 8 years. I'm just trying to figure out what the driver was doing to get the truck like this.

Well its a "Freightliner"  these things happen.

We had a Freightliner Cascadia SELF IMMOLATE at the Mill **PARKED**

It was parked by itself for a day or two. Brightest 10 ft diameter fire ive ever seen.

I figure- it was lonely, and knew it was a Freightliner **CASCADIA**

and decided to commit Ritual Suicide.

Maybe the driver wanted to try off roading and to make their truck a convertible? Jokes aside. That far off the road, I'm wondering if drugs/drinking/ lack of sleep led to that? Doesn't look like any attempt was made to stop the truck otherwise.

I'm going to say driver dozed off and went off-roading. Some OTR schedules can really screw up your sleep patterns.

For sure! I had some crappy schedules, but I'm sure it was nothing compared to what OTR drivers have to deal with, consistently.

Thanks for that. Gives a better view on how far off the road this person was.
