I was inspired by @DK-Prof to try my hand at making a pipe for myself first (and make mistakes) and for my father later.
The shape ended up being a panel pot. It's kind of ugly, but it sits wonderfully and is a good 45 minute pipe. Sits great in the hand too.  Attached File Attached File Attached FileAnd the Ashtray. Smoked the pipe for the first time tonight. So glad I went with the 5/32 draw hole. Smooth, no moisture building, no turbulence. Very cool smoke. It's ugly, but it's my ugly and I couldn't be happier with it. The tray is for my father, it's the 3rd (?) I've made out of locally cut aspen. The resin came out nice on this one. |

Looks nice.
Always thought it'd be fun to try making one. Mr. Brog makes pre-drilled blocks you can finish. |

Very nice. The pipe looks like it's very comfortable in the hand.
