C8 is the only car I would buy in black. for some reason it looks bad ass in black. but yeah everything is priced out of reality. look around.

While trucking on I-65 through Bowling Green, I encountered the annual Corvette Jamboree. Huge traffic jam of Corvettes filled with white/black/brown people.....and all of them really old.

Lifelong gearhead here. I've owned a bunch of neat performance cars over the years. Currently have 3 Vettes (along with some other cool stuff). And I'm getting old.
The C8 is great. Good power, grip everywhere. With Mag ride it can be either luxury barge smooth or race car stiff. And the DCT is entertaining when it needs to be although I'm primarily a manual trans kind of guy. C8: Attached File C4 Hot Rod in progress: Attached File C3: Attached File |

A fully loaded Singray is not $150,000. An E-Ray(hybrid AWD gas/electric) or ZO6 (670HP flat plane crank) is.
I just picked up a 2024 C8 Hard Top Convertible 3LT for $93k. |

From a money standpoint, $150k for a 993/911 (with a tune to get it on par with a C06) is a way better purchase. The resale on the higher-performance porches is actually really excellent.
If I wanted a fast low maintenance sports car, I'd just get a Model S Plaid (are they like 90k now?) and be able to smoke just about everything but supercars while still having a practical car that seats 4 people a trunk and a great warranty. |

I’m guessing you were looking at a brand new c8 z06.. Plenty of new c8s in my area under msrp. Tons of used low miles in the 60s. C7s in the 40s.. pretty inexpensive for what you get IMO.
