What browser are you using? Newer ones will let you view the cached password sometimes. Look in the settings. You may have to enter the local machine account password.
Has your email address been updated so you can receive emails on the one you have on your account? That will get you access to "reset password" via email. |

My old desktop probably won't have what you described but the phone might. |

If you don't log out, it will just take a little bit for the session to expire and renew. Your account is upgraded, but the expiration date and display in new posts may not update until then. So logging out is not required except for display. Eventually it will kick in when you are inactive on the site for a while. (Over 15 minutes.)

You can always go to your profile and look at your contact info to see what email is on file.
then do a password reset, assuming you have access to that email account. |
