God bless her my wife would just shrug. "Don't drive the kids in that"

Muh lady had one. We drove it when we went places. My pickup just wasn't as fun to drive. It got better mileage as well.

Got a chance to drive one with a b16 swap. It was lane changer when goosed.

235K miles, modded, parts removed, no A/C, no cat, [problematic for certain states] and spent time in the salt belt. PASS. Especially for that kind of coin.

Hell, I have 3 grand into a 93 Miata that had 32K on the odometer and no winters. In 5 years of ownership it has needed a clutch master [30 bucks or so and maybe 45 minutes] and new rubber last year.

Mine was a 1987... I loved that car. Traded it in for a new Ford ranger, what a mistake that was

I knew a girl in HS that had a blue one. We would cram like 8 people in that tiny fucker and go out partying. It’s a fucken miracle we didn’t die in that car.

I’ve had two.
Long story but had and drove 2. Had them for several years.
Had to replace the timing belt and clutch on both.
The clutch was probably my fault.
Fun to drive.

If it runs, has all the interior and isn't completely rusted out , has decent paint that's about as good of a deal as you'll find.  Anything cheaper is a major project. That generation of crx is getting real hard to find that isn't a major restoration project

That underside has more new asphalt undercoating on it then a roof. The door is jacked badly and the painted black on the bottom is likely due to rust repair and someone cheap enough to not repaint the car.

It's a financial disaster waiting for the next sucker , uh, I mean owner.

I looked hard at an 87 after I paid off my 84 Chevy pickup. Then an 88 Nissan Maxima SE caught my eye. I got married shortly after that and ended up with neither.

The few kids that had those when I was in HS, they were just a staging apparatus for subwoofers.

Nobody modded them as they were turds and too small for your average corn fed Virginian to fit in.

I used to race slalom courses.  HP didn't matter much, as there were few straightaways and the ones there were, were short.  The CRX was one of the fastest unmodified cars to run the course.  With good tires, it was almost unbeatable.

I've got 2.

A B-series swap really wakes them up, but a K will take them to the moon.

I have pretty much accepted that I'm dead if i wad one up.

I bought a used one, same year and same color, back in 99'.  Drove it for a year then sold it.  Cool car.  I always liked the body style on the 88-91 a little more.

We still all wanted one in the early 90's. Two of my buddies made it happen, and they were the coolest cars in the high school parking lot. The stoner smoking circle had a few beat to shit muscle cars though, that I would probably appreciate more now.

My first two cars were CRXs. I started in an '87, then bought a '92. Those cars were a blast to drive on the twisty backroads. And with the seats leaned back, there was so much room for activities.

Ah  the days of my youth.

No holes and has all the interior panels is enough for me.  Of course I do restorations for a living so I can can accept a pretty bad body.  I'd probably rear wheel drive k swap one if I got one so I'd put a new floor in it anyways

I don’t think crx had an auto. My buddy had one. Suspension, sway bars, etc.

It drove like a literal go cart. We tossed that thing around like you wouldn’t believe.

I've had a new CRX HF, a used one, and a VX.
Nothing like 50 MPG in a super fun to drive car.
