Used Windows snip tool and saved as .jpg. Monitor is running 4K 120Hz. The site blows up the image and it in turns looks garbage.
 Attached FileOriginal is 12MP 4MB and 3024x4032 72dpi and focus is near razor sharp. Converted to 1MB 1361*1850 @ 72dpi .jpg and it looks identical to the original on my screen. Uploaded and while it seems to have kept the same dimensions the quality is horrible.  Attached File |

Yeah, really aggressive compression, overly so, which is why I usually host elsewhere.

The image uploading and storage is on the list to be upgraded. It is definitely due to the resampling we do (and compression) to keep file sizes smaller. With the increased BW everywhere, it's less of an issue to have larger files like this shared. So to sum up, it's something we will fix!
