For those who don't know, General Conference is an every 6 months 2-day conference in UT that is generally watched widely by church members.

Official channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSdPpMokMoGCSSNShOecP9w

Saturday, April 6
General sessions at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m.  (all times CST)

Sunday, April 7
General sessions at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.  (all times CST)

I'm curious if anyone else is watching General Conference or has comments on the conference topics?

Yes indeed. All 3 sessions. I thought Carpenter's talk in the evening session was the most interesting.

I followed someone on Xitter who turned out to be LDS and now my feed is full of all the goings on.

I liked Uchtdorf's talk the best so far.

For Erying's talk, I think I must be misunderstanding his message.  It didn't resonate with me or really even make sense.  I think I'm going to go back and listen to it again later.

You're saying the quiet part out loud, man!

I was working urgent clinic today and trying to catch some of the talks. My wife texted me in excitement that they're building a temple in Edinburgh. She's always looking for an excuse to go to Scotland. As if one needs an excuse.

I caught a couple of the Sunday morning ones. I actually enjoyed the the primary presidents talk on prayer. I know it was targeted to children but I thought it was great for me personally 😁

I caught Sunday sessions. But I slept through a lot of it. I just have a hard time staying awake when I sit down for long on a weekend. This being a month later. After I saw what happened at the UMC conference in the other thread, I’m glad I’m not Methodist, I think I would definitely be having to make some choices.

You need to go

and tell Robert the Bruce that Monadh says "hey"

Where I stayed in Alford - Lynturk Farm (yes, I did take that pic and all on this post)

The River Don

Craigievar Castle, just around "the corner" from where I stayed.

Scotland is all that. Ireland is all that +1.

Blarney Castle

Beautiful pictures. I haven't made it to Ireland yet. We took my oldest to the UK when she graduated high school. Edinburgh and Stirling castles and the Scot's monument. Hiked Arthur's Seat and got sunburned (how do you get sunburned in Scotland?). We also had lunch on her 18th Bday in the Elephant House Cafe, where JK Rowling used to sit and write the Harry Potter novels, while looking out the back window towards the castle. It was a great time. Our heritage is all over the British Isles and a bit of Germany.
