AI paired with walking robots is going to create a big problem
When a robot holds up a bank and runs off with the money, who do you arrest? The owner of a robot or the guy who hacked it?
Contract murder. A robot walks into a business with a box looking like a delivery and shoots the boss, it then erases its program and is just back to doing its normal delivery job. Who do you charge with murder? How do you defend against hackers who now have new tools to use for crimes.
You know when robots become common they will be connected online for updates and control of task assignments for their jobs
This is the week spot the hackers get in and gain control
The Will Smith movie IRobot explored what can happen and it was an interesting movie
But now AI is getting closer to be put in charge of devices and systems we need to think about the the three laws of robotics
The Three Laws, presented to be from the fictional "Handbook of Robotics, 56th Edition, 2058 A.D.", are:[1]
The First Law: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
The Second Law: A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
The Third Law: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
