A company out here is running loads for King Soopers grocery stores and they must’ve pulled a shitload of trucks out of the weeds and made them roadworthy for the contract. Virtually every truck I’ve seen is 90’s/00’s(maybe older) and more cab overs than expected.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen a bunch on the Amazon runs. There’s a bunch of old beat up junk pulling those trailers. Some are older but look well maintained. The fore mentioned you can sense brake drum chunks centrifugally separating at any minute.

Nostalgia is a funny thing.

They rode like shit, heat was hit or miss. Big doghouse to work around. Miss the step and fall on your ass.

The doghouse did make for a nice table, important when one had to do some fast scribbling on the logbook.
