I liked his "wut?" comment about the occular tracking comment (and agree).
Talk about overcomplicating shit. |

His business strategy seems to be “ baffle them with bullshit”. Guy makes everything sound exponentially more complicated than it has to be.

Way to stay politically correct Ben. We know exactly what you mean by "disagree". As always, keep up the good work Ben.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you’re capable of great violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful, you’re harmless.

I lost all respect for the man when he came out with his Banana speech video.
|
|
|
|
There was a video of a zoom call during SHOT where Ben straight up laughed at him about it. Travis went on to explain how he’s so knowledgeable because he was married to a doctor. Ben said something about not knowing knowledge was sexually transmitted. The confused look on Haley’s face was priceless. Good for a laugh.

Ben all day.
"3 occular scientists on staff" lmfao.....is this a fucking joke? |
|
|
Travis gets major creds for serving and killing lots of dudes and shit.
But man he loves himself. |

I have no doubt Hailey is a physical stud and a phenomenal gunfighter but he seems to talk like he thinks he's way smarter than he actually is. |

Check out the recent interview he did with John Lovell (warrior poet society) on youtube. Haley has went deep down the performance training rabbit hole. His view is that gunfights are the most complicated event he's ever been a part of. I don't know how much value that has as a regular guy on the streets, but it was a better articulation of where he's coming from than I've seen him give before.
Personally, I think there is value in having schools with differing approaches. |

I’ve taken a few of his classes. I learned a lot and improved quite a bit. He was helpful and seemed to care. I was the least experienced in our training classes and he spent extra time with me to make sure I learned and understood.
Seems like this community just likes to tear people down and eat its own. It’s really disappointing. |

I think most of these famous/popular/celebrity type trainers just make shit up to differentiate themselves.
|
|
|
Sounds like he’s doing research to make adjustments to his training and gear so it’s more usable.

Ben might be right about Haley over complicating training but Ben is such a douche canoe that I can’t watch or listen to him.
Plus competition shooting is slightly gay |

I think there’s more to what Travis is looking at than the task of just shooting.
As he said in the interview shooting is the easy part. It’s the decision making, how mental/physical stress are introduced and its effects on the body/brain. It’s just like Olympic training centers monitoring and adjusting training routines based on based on the effects of the body and mind. |

Lucas' comment was lol worthy (even though he probably shouldn't have inserted himself into the conversation).

Not only that, if he learns anything of usefulness, someone will copy it soon and it’ll be disseminated pretty fast. But someone’s got to do the research. Teaching isn’t just telling people things you’ve picked up over the years. |

And the OTC doesn’t do that Collecting data and analyzing it is something he is doing. The data he is collecting is to adjust training and gear. Not that the training course is teaching that specific stuff except for maybe a small explanation of what is happening to you in a high stress situation. Edit when I was stationed at FT Carson. We worked with Olympic trainers on weight lifting and running. They opening talked about collecting data to facilitate better training. |

View Quote If the number of gunfights under your belt was a metric for determining your skill as a shooter, I'd happily accept training from a large number of instructors that far beneath that bar. I like TH, I think he is a fine American and I would attend one of his classes but how many CQB pistol fights has he been in? A great deal of his fame is from the "turkey shoot", in which the nickname alone should tell you a great deal about what the professional community thought of it. |
