I'm personally okay with it, but we do have a (Team member only) job board, and I do want to make sure that I understand why that exists (it predates me), before I give the go-ahead to allow this forum to do it's own thing.
EDIT: There's a decent possibility that this was discussed ad nauseum, before I started working here. I'm hesitant to just say "Yeah guys, go for it" until I know why it was established the way it was. FWIW - Absent any other knowledge to the contrary, I kinda feel like trucking is a special enough thing, where it would make more sense to post job opportunities in here. Drivers talk with each other ENDLESSLY about pay (both company drivers, and owner operators) in person, and I don't see why it'd be any different here. So I'm personally fine with it, but only after I confer with the rest of the staff - in case they know something I don't. |

Alright guys - I've thought it over, and I've talked it over with some of the staff. We're cool with it.
For now, I'd like to see "Looking for work/Looking for hire" posts confined to this thread - and this thread only. It'll be easier for the staff (and me) to keep an eye on, that way.  For right now, my policy is sort of like "It's not a problem, until it actually becomes a problem". Example: Scammers begin using it to request personal info. Or hell...anything where allowing it here becomes an actual problem. To the extent that it doesn't...there is no problem. If that ever changes, and I have to make changes, I'll let you know (and most importantly - why). Sound good?

Ill start.
The Company i work for is Hiring for a full time Mech in the Arcata,Ca yard. And they are always looking for Class A Drivers as well. pay for drivers is $24 (ALL Drivers make the same per hour) 8-10 hour "day shifts" and 11-12 hour "Night shifts" -being the norm Home in bed every night and i havent met a single person so far that i have not liked. They are under new ownership very cool people throughout the Company. Bettendorf is a decent size company and has divisions in: Albany, Or White City,Or Lincoln,Ca Anderson ,Ca Arcata,Ca And possibly a few other areas i am not aware of. They do work all over the western US, but it would be best for someone that would be willing to relocate to the Billings area. It would be moving crane parts and maybe some rigging and they have a robust heavy haul division so there's opportunity to move up. They don't pay quite as good as we do but it's still good pay with tons of OT. They handle applications through their website, anyone that is interested can IM me for a link. |

Alright I’m in. I am probably one of the newest CDL holders in Ohio. I just graduated from a decent program and have been in EMS the last ten years and have a clean driving record. I really want to go as far as possible with the complicated stuff and am willing to go get hazmat, tanker and any other endorsements necessary. I’m in central Ohio.

I am studying for the rest of my endorsements rn. Honestly I didn’t know if I’d be able to even do the job so I did what was required to start CDL training and just followed the advice I was given. Now that I have a few weeks into the industry I’m starting to figure out how to get the ball rolling on a career.

It would mostly be night shift on the crude oil side. Coastal plains trucking It's not a bad gig. Home everyday. So far the company seems all right. |

They will be slowly changing over to Peterbilts, I'm sure they will stick with the same engine and transmission options. There are two cameras one outside one facing inside. You cannot touch your cell phone when you're driving. Other than that it's pretty laid back. The shifts are 12 hours, 4 to 4. We generally slip seat with the day shift. Pay is between 300 to 450 a day. It depends on what loads you get. You are paid by the load. A normal work day is four loads, but sometimes you will only get three. We also get safety bonuses every month, and they double if you go 6 months without any issues. The cryogenic division is also hiring. I'm told it's more of an over the road job. The ad on indeed claims that they pay is between $1,700 to $3,000 per week. It should be the same Kenworth models with sleepers, slowly switching over to the peterbilts with sleepers. Benefits are average. The normal insurance, and 401k plans. Nothing great, but not totally trash. Pay is every 2 weeks. They have pretty nifty apps and websites to check out your pay and settlement info. FR uniforms are provided, but they are supposedly switching companies, so I don't know how long it will take to get fitted for them. I am still waiting. |

I’ll be hiring a few drivers soon. Must have tanker and hazmat. Must have a clean driving record.
It’s in the Bakken oilfield in ND. 100 degrees in the summer and -30 in the winter. The roads are mostly ice about 6 months of the year. Spring and Fall there’s a lot of chaining up. My drivers make about 100K a year. BCBS and other benefits. We offer $900 a month, tax free for housing. There’s a bunch of technical and off-road driving in dangerous conditions. Average loads are about 90K but we haul up to 150K compressors occasionally. PM me if interested. Hey so I’m coming up on a year of hauling reefer. We are looking to move to Orlando in the fall. Any of you gentlemen know of any leads down there? I’d like a local job but not totally opposed to being gone a few nights a week. I know Florida sucks but I have a stack of letters of recommendation to attach to my resume as I’ve been a trainer with a spotless record. Thanks for any help you guys can come up with in advance.
