Years ago we went to Thanksgiving Dinner at a friends house. We were gone for probably 5 or 6 hours. It was the longest anyone had been gone at that point. I think we still had two older dogs at that point. When we got back Ben, the pup licked my head when I got in bed and ended up falling asleep with his tongue on my head.

My parents dog when i broke my ankle and had to stay with them for a month.
  Now when i go over he gets excited still but is like harumph! They know how to make you happy. |
