Congrats OP.
My grandparents had one on their house. After they passed, it’s one of the things that I got to take. It sits on my mantle and has been there for the last 7-8 years. Hopefully someday I’ll put it on the outside of my house. |

just kidding. I haven't had a house payment in 12 years. Profit enough off last house sale to pay cash for house I'm in now. Part of me thinks I should have invested it all but it feels good not to owe anyone anything. Congrats ! |

If you drive through the countryside you would be surprised how many eagles you see on houses. The wife and I like to look out for them on a nice country drive.

It became popular post WWII when folks started paying off their mortgages. All my grandparents had eagles hung on their houses somewhere.
