Years ago we had a brush fire out on I80 in the center med. right in front of the mine I was working at, the shifter asked hwy patrol if they want us to knock it out, I got to drive a cat 785 water truck out on the hwy and put it out.
Then gave the nhp office a ride along in some equipment a few weeks later, 2 months after that the office came to work for us :) Similar to this one Attached File |

Hahahahaha, DAMN IT JIMMY, you stole the FD thunder. They get paid thousands of dollars a week to do this kind of thing and your $200 dollar a day ass did it in under 1 minute. you really know how to make a tall man, small, Jimmy, you really do.

I notice what looked like a city owned pickup go by right about the same time the water truck showed up. I'm betting they had it nearby for a construction project of some sort and sent it over.

What a cockblock. That was pretty darn cool though, good on him... or her, a squirter. View Quote Especially when you watch a video of a slow firefighting response. One I watched a fifth wheel RV on fire about midway on the trailer, the FFs took so long to get out of the truck, roll out the equipment, walk around strategigizing and get started, the pickup was engulfed. |

That's pretty awesome. What's "more better" is that my family friend's company built that exact water truck. I used to help build them.
They are available at all the major rental places and are used quite extensively on construction sites to keep the dust down. |
