They got light cycles on the streets. They'll be using CGI to make them look like actual light cycles, but at least we can see the base now.

Legacy made over $400mm worldwide so there’s still appetite for stories in this world. However, it’s been almost 15 years since Legacy so maybe they waited too long.

Around 1998-99 I had an idea for a Tron sequel based on the Y2k bug. The server cluster the game grid exists on was isolated from the outside network after the MCP was destroyed. A programmer discovers it's existence, and tries to rescue Flynn before the hardware gets decommissioned.

Excited! Tron Legacy is one of my favorite movies and the soundtrack on Atmos is out of this world.
I like the original Tron but admit that I saw it after Legacy. Just hope Disney doesn't completely fuck this up. |

Saw the original in a theater back in '82. Saw Legacy in 3D in a theater the day after release. we did NOT want to see it in 3D (neither me nor my friends are really fans of 3D), but those were the only tickets they had left. So we watched it in 3D. I remember feeling a bit nostalgic for the 1st one. So I'll probably watch this one.
Not in a theater, though. I'll wait for it to hit streaming then watch it at home. |
