Returning to work from a week off, can't sleep. This should make Monday much more pleasant.

And yet, they are most certainly emotionally retarded. Public education is the opiate of the masses. |

I just cooked a 4am work steak.
Forgot the kitchen is under renovations here - so I'm glad I brought a filet - all we have at this time is plastic and paper. |

I remember my best friend and I going up in their attic and finding a Japanese Sword, medals, and other war trophies of his father who had fought the Japanese. The sword was still razor sharp...ask me how I know..
We also found his Dad's old 45 and may or may not have shot it afew times.... I wonder what happened to all of that stuff.... Episode 83 - The Encounter |

My wife just got home from night shift.
Now I get to hear all of her work drama. |

I usually dont go to bed until about 4am Texas time.
I play pool off and on while listening to Metal or old country and drinking scotch and bourbon after my wife goes to bed around 10. I also learn my lines for any new movie or TV show I am in (or prep for an audition) I also talk to relatives in israel around 2am some nights. Tonight I got sucked into a few threads on Arfcom and prepped a proposal for a large chain of radio stations to host a big event for them. All that seemingly cool stuff and the dog is telling me it needs to shit. So sometimes you are an awesome mad scientist and sometimes you have to take the dog out to shit. Life is like that. |

Yeah, overnight shift & briefing the boss in the morning, then going to bed is my most hated shift. Did that for several months in Iraq.
Today went well. Saw @Whiskerz and sold half the table. Fingers crossed I'll be as lucky tomorrow. |

Can the Milky Way galaxy still been seen with the naked eye
from where you're all at now? I used to be able to see it from Fairfax County, VA in the late '70s and early '80s. I don't remember when it became no longer visible here. The last time I saw it was from a coffee plantation in Kpalimé, Togo (West Africa). I miss dark skies. |

No, I can't see it from my house. We did however spend a week in the big bend area in March and it was amazing to see everything. The milky way is still very visible out there.

Only sold one gun today, but was a good weekend overall. New guns ordered, see how we do next week.

Oh, I'd love 1430-2230, that's some of my most productive hours. Get off shift, have dinner in a pub, go home, sleep in, go to work. I have to get up "early" two days a week to get to gun shows, this week was my local show so slept til 8 AM this morning. |

Double in some cases. To obtain permission to own a fire arm, on paper, the Thai citizen goes down to the local police station, provides legitimate proof of need and local police commander issues a permit to own. Examples given as proof of need is possession of large sums of money, business owner, etc. I am suspect some type of "donation" would be required to the police commander as corruption is rampant. We, or rather my wife, has never tried to obtain because we have lived in other countries for 8 years and now living in Bangkok we are not in her "official" home district which is up north. So, I have no pics to post. If I get a copy of that sales sheet I can upload but we have no plans to be home in the near future. |

To each their own. The main redeeming factor of the shift I work is going in as the sun sets and coming back as the sun rises. That and going the opposite way of traffic all the time. |

I hated night shifts, but I was able to get a lot done
like get the kid ready for school, do household chores, run errands, etc. After day shifts, I don't want to do a damn thing. |
