It all starts with a Ill build a scratch built digital binos.

Then its I can improve on that and build a better version..

now I have a mx 10160 tube on the desk and trying to figure a way to get funds for a second.

Now I have friends and Fam asking me to build for them as well.

Man I wish tubes were cheaper.

First version.

Second that runs off a CR123A or 18650 battery pack.

And yes that's 3d printed.

Yup, no joke. I 3D printed a housing for a FLIR Photon for the front of my Gladiator then integrated it to the backup cam screen. It's the shit having thermal while driving. Now I'm looking for higher resolution cores all the time.

That looks like a fuzzy skin print off a Bambu. What material is it?

Huh, apparently this is post 31k of mine.

It's faint, but sometimes I hear panos calling to me.

No, it's probably just the wind.  $40,000+ wind . . .

How much $$$ do you save printing housings and assembling the units yourself?

With digital, my first build it was around $1100. But the way its made you can pop out the digital and pop in an analog tube. So it is upgradeable. Uses pvs14 lenses.

I have it setup so when the pods are in the stow position it powers off. and when flipped down powers back on again. Done via a slip ring on the bridge to pod connection.

You could probably sell those as kits.

Looked through some friends' PVS-14 and thought it was cool. Dove in head first wanting the best (or close to) and got DTNVGs with L3 unfilmed white phos tubes.

@Fat_McNasty

That’s really cool.  You’ve gotten my attention.  What type of 3d printer are you using and where can we find more info on DIY NVG?

Roughly much would cost to make a monocular with a PVS14 white phosphor tube?

I sent the STL files out to a overseas business that does the Multi Jet Fusion printing. Its surprising inexpensive.

What is Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) and How Does it Work?

and do a google search on PVS-69. I did a build thread a few months ago. It might be the archive now.

@Yojimbo.
