I think we've ran out of Zombie stuff my friends, although I am enjoying the new season of Fear The Walking Dead.

Anyway, there are a lot of good budget vampire and werewolf movies out there that are in the spirit of zombie movies we all love. Whatcha got?

I loved "Dog Soldiers", a werewolf movie, when I was a teen but it's not for streaming I guess.

I'm watching "Howl" now on Amazon Prime but just started it... grasping for straws here . I work nights and it's my "Sunday" so forcing myself to stay up... good movie or bad.

"Howl" is actually pretty good if you're tinkering with guns or otherwise watching it as a side. Great acting all around and the budget for effects isn't bad. Overall I'm impressed for a whim. I don't think I could sit down and watch it but having it on in the background isn't bad.

If you like slow, thinking movies more focused on character development over the "monster" I think you'll really like this.

The underworld series of movies has Vampires and Lycans.
Also has Kate Beckinsale, Rona Metra and a healthy amount of gun porn...

Sometimes you can find the whole collection on DVD for under 20.00.

Freaking loved Dog Soldiers. Used to watch that just about every time it aired on SyFy. Old school stuff.

Tried watching Brotherhood of the Wolf during the summer but my copy was wasted. Still looking for an alternate sources.

Have you seen Late Phases? Modern throwback to 80s horror movies with limited CGI.

I used to rent Dog Soldiers on VHS every other week from the rental place. I'm kind of scared to watch it again, what if I hate it? ha!

Awesome, thanks for the info on that movie, man, I will check that out!

amazon has the bluray. not sure about if it streams on anything.

The show the Strain .  is about vampires and the apocalypse.   Watched the entire series.  its pretty good.  they changed vamps a little.

loved the old show Werewolf but its not on anything. probably looks dated now.

Supposedly they might be redoing the Howling.  Some of the films are good, and some are very very campy.  gotta rewatch think I missed a few of the later ones. The one with the castle was decent. not part 2 but 5 or something.

I AM A Hero is a zombie film that is surprisingly good. Dead Set is also good. If you want creepy but not zombie related, check out the old Body Snatchers from the 50s and again from the 70s.
