I haven’t got it yet, but I bought this from wrx last night to compare with my Mezz Max. I’ll sell the loser so my wife doesn’t murder me

We’re heading up to play in the same town LAB is in. I’m hoping I have time to check them out.

I'm finally at a place where I'm practicing and realizing it isn't the gear, it's never been the gear, and my putter(s) already fit me perfectly.

I will maintain my self control.

I messed with the stock steel shaft version at PGA Superstore and they are really good. Huge improvement in size/looks/sound/feel over the DF 2.1

I’m pretty content with the rest of my bag for the year at least. This could be the first year ever I don’t buy a driver or fairway wood.

I picked one of these up off eBay. As soon as i got it I knew i wanted one in leather. Greg at Headgeargolf put this one together for me. I fucking love it!

Yes, spent a couple hours on the practice green Friday/Saturday and immediately put it in the bag for my men’s club event on Sunday.

31 putts on a course I’ve never played before. No 3 putts, which you can usually count on me for a dumb one during a tournament round. I like everything about it better than the Mezz Max.

I've got a local guy that wants to trade me a Mezz Max for my Phantom X 5s. My new 7.5 has firmly kicked my 5s to the curb so it's expendable. We're going to meet up at the course in the next couple of days so that we can each try them out. Glad to hear yours is a gamer.

The new 7.5 looks fantastic.

That’s a good trade to try one out and they’re easy to sell if you don’t like it.

That’s my thought, it would be easy to flip if it doesn’t work. Pretty excited to try one though.

Edit: it’s a Mezz.1, not a Max.

Same lie/length, I hope...  Though if you've been using a Mezz for awhile, you know.

Everthing about them is flat out weird to use.  Ball position is different, grip is different, feel is really different.

But damned if they aren't as point and shoot as it gets.

Model citizen, zero discipline...

I'll get a picture up of the LA Golf shafts I picked up for the wedge heads.  Not inexpensive.  They're neat in irons though.  Especially getting them at a discount...

Going through their fitting process is highly recommended.  The Ping Putting app they have for iPhone or Pad works too though.  It might just be my T-rex arms and Ray Floyd-esque stance, but off the rack does not work at all for me with LAB.  And 35.5/74° most definitely does.

So the Mezz is an off-the-rack 35” with a 69* lie angle. I putt fine with it but knew I wanted a bit shorter and a bit more upright.

I kept an eye out for one with those specs and got 34” with 71 lie. Feels perfect.

So I can't hit a brand new, $600 driver for shit.  So, figured I'd try a Mavrik from Callaway Pre-owned instead.  Now I got that champagne slice on the Coors Light budget.

When I ordered it I got the Evenflo Riptide stiff shaft because the dude at the shop said thats what I needed. I have since switched to a Hazarous Smoke yellow regular flex. I lost a little distance but my accuracy improved 10 fold. I dont recall what  have for ball speed or club head speed. Its been a while since I have had access to a launch monitor.

Scotty Cameron speed shop stuff.
Scotty drops limited editions on their website every now and then, this was from a couple weeks ago.
Most of his stuff like this gets sniped and sold for double or more on eBay in short order.

Visio T-line. Basically just a t square that you putt off. If you don't keep it online for the first 1' it bounds wildy off. Came from across the pond via Royal Mail. About $65 with the trans Atlantic shipping.

I’m easing my way into graphite iron shafts to save my shitty elbow. I’ve had a MMT 105TX in 4 iron for a while, now MMT 125TX in 5-7. Trusty old DG X100 staying in the scoring clubs for now.

These definitely aren’t grandpa’s old graphite shafts.

I'm really getting along with the Hzrdus Silver stiff graphite shafts in my irons.

I'll never go back to steel.

It's a ridiculously large improvement to how I feel, especially after a 36 hole guy's weekend Saturday and another 27-36 on Sunday.

I’m sure I’ll be doing the 8-PW soon. Elbow is bad enough that I got a cortisone shot today and they want to try stem cell injections in 3 months.

Golf instructor convinced me to hit a Ping 430 10k Max driver. That’s on the way.

Significantly less dispersion and 25ish yards out of a new driver. Amazing
