ETA 4/25: Just got this email: PM63 parts kit. Any receivers available?
ETA 4/23: if you’re an AK guy, help me out on page 3 please I’m assuming we’re getting an AWB here in CO. Presume I have enough AR lowers or could figure out 80%s so let’s leave those out I’m slightly confused on FFL vs Non-FFL AK receivers. Right when PSA kills it with Krink stuff too. I’d love one. Chinese type appeal to me I just bought an Uzi receiver, that’s a PCC I’ve not yet snagged over the years I want a (original style) Galil receiver but Atlantic wants $499 FAL? Any roller lock stuff I can snag for later? Tell me how to maximize my options ETA: I need more AK advice on FFL vs non FFL receivers… ETA 4/23: Bought a PSA KS-47 lower for $199 |

80%s. Fuck the king.
But I would also invest in some really nice ones, like a Radian ADAC-15. |

I'd invest in equipment to manufacture what you want from scratch. Not from an 80% lower, either.

I'm not mad about the couple tortort galil receivers I got when I could. Wish I would have grabbed a vz58 receiver, some ak receivers, and parts kits too. You gunna get really upset if those hk33/hk33k century rifles ever make it over here.

That's a new generation awb with a parts clause.
You probably won't be getting new uppers and maybe not even stocks and grips after it goes in. I guess parts would be easier than serialized lowers to get on road trips to free states(if any) |

Just buy a 3d Printer, and never worry about 'bans' again.

I think the lawmakers are smart enough to include similar wording in any new AWB. |

ar15 (can never have too many),
ar in 308, just be aware these vary from manufacturer so make sure you can buy parts from that brand if they screw over parts online. not-glock 19 Sig p320 fcu, its the .mil gun so I expect it to have interesting chassis in the future. I then have a few odd ball projects already started that I'd like to get parts for that will become unobtanium if I can't order online anymore (see my AR1Oa post in ar varients). Mostly as I already have half the parts and want to do the build with my kids in a few years. At this point standardization wins out. My philosophy is within a decade or so, i will have moved, the AWB will be nationwide or they will be getting used in anger (or a combination of these options). |

I think I would buy a pallet of PSA lowers. They’re practically giving them away and you might be able to trade them for something in the future, even if it’s not a one for one.

It seems they are modeling their laws to be like ours and if thats the case, parts are banned as well. I would just get what you want complete instead of just recievers.

Palmetto's always got crazy deal on receivers, and we have top tier SOLGW LPKs
My main piece of advice though, is that after your 12th AR you start wishing you bought more weird guns, ala FS-2000, SCAR-H, KP-9, MP-5, UMP, AK, FAL, G3, and all magazines needed for said guns |

As a guy who thought lowers would be what I need..... No. Parts. Buy parts. The days of 'just stock up lowers' are over

Do what you want . Laws don't mean anything anymore.

Atlantic Firearms seems to have cost efficient roller lack stuff.
My advice is that you just get the guns you can afford, even if they are budget and suck. Get em in before the deadline, and you can improve/pimp out the gun at your leisure later typically. With MP-5s, the Turkshit clones seem to be 90% as good as the premium guns that cost 2-3X as much, and need just a little work to keep running. Tinkering is half the fun with guns that aren't "duty" guns like the Glock and AR. But yeah, after a dozen Glocks and a dozen ARs you may want to have weird stuff in your safe too. Originally Posted By bondo: Do what you want . Laws don't mean anything anymore. View Quote Dangerous attitude, since the laws will always be used to persecute the enemies of the ruling regime. AK receivers
AR9 lower Stuff like the AUG, HK, anything you might possibly want that you cannot build from easily available parts. Just buy them now. And lots of parts, while they are relatively cheap and easily shipped to you directly. Mags for anything you might possibly desire to own later. Even more AR15 and AR10 lowers! They are basically the seed for a lot of possible builds… |

Can you get an MCX lower only? I know you can use the uppers on the lowers with conversion kits, but I would still look into a proper MCX lower.
Post ban, you can look into things like the MCX, JAKL, those Taiwanese piston AR uppers and whatnot to slap on your AR lowers. |
|
|
If you don’t already have parts kits and mags for an Uzi, Galil, FAL, or whatever, I wouldn’t even consider receivers for any of those guns. Stick with ARs, large frame ARs, and Glocks.
