I'm finishing Mark Tabbert's A Deserving Brother on Washington's Masonic life in advance of a trip to Virginia next week.
I'm interested in reading more about him. No specific aspects, maybe general biographies of his entire life. That may help me if I want to focus in on specific aspects. |

This. Written as a citizen-friendly one-volume version of the author's definitive four-volume series. I have recommended this to many. Loved it.

Washington's Crossing by David Hackett Fischer

Did not know that his Doctor actually killed him. The medical practices of the day was not much better than voodoo. I saw a documentary the other day and did not know this little tidbit.

I think it was the younger doctor that recommended a tracheostomy but it was fairly new so the older doctor said no. |
