Good man
I got know John when he lived in the Midwest The first time i met him, was selling him a 6meter ham radio antenna. noticed he had a Nissan truck similar to mine, with a geissele triggers decal on the back window. 
later, he bought more ham radio gear I had posted for sale here on ar15.com He invited me and my girls to visit, he had a stocked lake for fishing, and room to shoot rifles at several hundred yards. I never made it, always busy working seemed like every time i ham gear for sale, he'd buy it LOL Last time i saw him was at a hamfest. he was showing me google earth pics of his new land in AZ....way off the grid. He had sold his house and was starting a new adventure out west. I always enjoyed talking to him either at gunshows and hamfests, or on the airwaves. Good guy. Talked to him regularly on the radio.
When I say Good Guy, I'm not saying that because he passed, I genuinely mean it. John was a good man and is sorely missed.

Just stumbled on this thread. John was an active member in the MO HTF before he moved, which was not that long ago, if I remember.

I just saw this about John. Real nice guy, we picked up a stray cat that someone left by his home not long before his wife had passed away, she was allergic to the cat in the home and the cat had to go.
Best FREE cat, he came home with us in December 2013 and is still with us. RIP John |
