FIL used to get rid of stuff with a free sign at the end of the driveway. If it wasn't gone by the next morning he would put a $20 sign on it. It was guaranteed to be gone by the next morning.

I actually do this with two sellers at a local flea market that sell truckloads of random junk. I've already found stuff worth thousands of dollars for cheap from them and do it as a way to give back to them.
