I'm betting the same organization that ordered pallets of bricks for 2020 bought just pallets this time around.

Carrying American Flag at the Capitol on Jan. 6 was a Crime, DOJ Says

Federal prosecutors say carrying an American flag in the U.S. Capitol in support of a “particular viewpoint” is a criminal act punishable by up to six months in prison.

In a filing in the criminal case against Jan. 6 defendant William Alexander Pope of Topeka, Kansas, the U.S. Department of Justice said carrying a flag in support of “free elections, fair elections and President Trump” constitutes a crime under Title 40 of the United States Code.

“They now allege my crime to be carrying an American flag ‘in support or disapproval of a particular viewpoint,’” Mr. Pope posted on X. “Biden has made the American flag and wrongthink a crime!”

In a court filing on May 15, Mr. Pope said: “I argue that carrying an American flag should not ever be criminal in the United States of America.”

At the very end of the clip he goes down as he was wobbling just before.  Kinda looks like a face plant as I didn't really see his hands out to stop him but due to the car hood you can't see the ending.  I think the cops wish they had something bigger than 9mm though for that incident.

I wonder if either of the cops got hit, that dude came out with two pistols blazing.

That was one of the strangest shootouts I've seen yet. Cop's like "hands where I can see them" and he puts up one hand. "How about the other hand?" "Naw, I'm good." Cop - "Is there a gun in your other hand?" Fat dude - "Yes." Cop draws down on him. (To his credit he makes a massive effort to not shoot this guy and talk him down, before the fat guy literally says "fuck it" and fills BOTH hands. I think he lived, too. Sounds like the cop took a graze to the foot also.

Where is counter terrorism center? Investigating people who carry American flags at the capital I suppose.

CIA director was just at the capital testifying about the danger to the election from foreign influence. Don't think she had these students in mind

RI Judge Issues ‘Not Guilty’ Verdict for Anti-Israel Student Activists Arrested at Brown University in December

They're "not guilty", not because the judge didn't think they committed the crime they were charged with, but because the judge supported them committing the crime they were charged with.

But apparently the "not guilty" filing is more like a deferred adjudication, and the charges can be revived if they get arrested again within six months.
Seeing that part, it seems like he gave them non-violent first offender status.

A Providence judge has issued a not guilty filing for 41 Brown University pro-Palestinian protestors who were arrested for trespassing last semester.

Judge Nicholas Parrillo said he was going against the objections of the city of Providence and Brown University in issuing the not guilty filing to the protestors because none of them had a criminal record, and because he said he thinks they held a respectful protest.

“I think this is a reflection of what nonviolent and peaceful resistance, frankly, is supposed to look like,” he said.

A not guilty filing means that the students will have to stay out of legal trouble for the next six months. If they do that, the charges against them will be completely cleared after that period of time. An attorney for the students told them it was significant.

That graphic dates from as early as 2008 (if not earlier).  The guy is more interested in clicks than in well-researched and hopefully more accurate information.

IMO if the cop was going to PIT at 110mph, he should have been hard on the ABS as soon as the truck went sideways.
